Post Graduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership Many managers are interested in aspects of our internationally accredited Masters of Business Administration degree but do not have the time to undertake the full programme. This is particularly the case with our courses on leadership and strategy. Launched in April 2012, UC offers a Post Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management. This post graduate qualification is designed for experienced managers who are interested in developing their leadership capability and career prospects. The Post Graduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership is comprised of six courses drawn from the UC MBA core and is taught in modular form on Fridays and Saturdays (see 2015 timetable below). The six courses can be taken in one to three years in “any order” and provide practical, evidence-based tools and frameworks that are focused on building capability in managerial leadership and strategy. Courses MBAD615 Leading Ourselves Builds on the frameworks introduced in the “Responsible Leadership” course and uses simulations, observation and feedback to heighten awareness of participants’ personality types and preferences and to build capability in managing and motivating people. Focuses on the personal leadership foundations that are essential for effective organisational leadership. Introduces the concepts of emotional, moral and spiritual intelligence and encourages you to reflect on your strengths and developmental needs in these areas. Assists you in building an evidence based personal resilience practice and in developing a Personal Development Plan that clarifies your work goals and helps to bring greater alignment and meaning into your life and work. MBAD643 Leading Change Provides insights into the excitement and challenges associated with change and builds the strategic perspective, business savvy and capability required to successfully lead a change process. MBAD642 Leading Others Describes international trends in positive socially responsible leadership, builds an understanding of the tasks and skills of effective organisational leadership and draws from the emerging complexity and positive leadership literatures to describe the practices required to develop highly innovative and adaptive organisations. MBAD605 Managing People and Performance Explores the practices required to develop vibrant, sustainable, high performance cultures and builds capability in organisation development and performance management. MBAD664 Leading Resilient Enterprises Equips students with research-based knowledge to understand and enhance organisational resilience. The course includes theory/concepts associated with resilience and also practical cases to translate the theory ans concepts into action. MBAD631 Innovative Business Strategy Provides an understanding of organisational strategy and the importance of innovation and builds capability in the development of competitive strategies and innovative products and services.
