The brutal facts tell us that there isgrowing global demand for high marbling beef – one of Shorthorn’s greatest assets. On top of that, our breed’s inherent convenience traits – maternal calving ease and docility to name two – prove there is not a better time in the past 30+ years to develop production-oriented Shorthorns to supply the demands of the beef industry. It takes a conscious, disciplined approach to generate cattle with these traits, and it is actually much easier than one may assume.

“Getting the right people on the bus” is exactly what this sale is all about. Don Cagwin brings as much knowl-edge and networking experience, with marketing expertise, as anyone in the purebred cattle business. He is literally a Hall of Famer! Les Mathers and Rick Leone and their families are the epitome of integrity. Period. We are honored to sell cattle alongside of them.

The cattle presented here are the products of ruthless culling, cultivation of the proper genes for breed advance-ment, and propagation of the influence of outlier sires.
