10 week summer internship

If you would like to be considered for a fellowship, but your targeted organization has a later decision timeline, you must complete Parts I, III and IV of this application as much as possible and submit by the March 13th deadline. Preference will be given to completed applications submitted by the March 13th deadline. However, limited funds may be available to those submitting completed applications by the final April deadline. The final deadline for all completed applications is Wednesday, April 15th.

TIPS:

Start your search early.

Investigate nonprofits and/or government organizations of interest to you.

Utilize the GSD’s CREATE career management system to research employers in the areas of community development and housing in the nonprofit and government sectors.

Meet with organizations to explore their needs, a potential internship and supervisor for your proposal.

Plan ahead. Give yourself plenty of time to complete your proposal.

Part II: Written Response This is a chance for you to indicate in your own words why you are interested in pursuing this opportunity through the JCHS Fellowship Program this summer. Your response should be as specific and succinct as possible (400 words maximum). Please submit a written essay that responds to the topics listed below.

Schedule: The fellowship must be a full time commitment of 35 hours per week and span a ten-week period during the summer.
