FOREWORD BY JOE ELLISFOREWORD BY JOE ELLIS

On behalf of Owner Pat Bowlen and the Denver Broncos, it is with great pride that I present our 2015 Be A Champion in the Community Review. This provides an overview of the Broncos efforts to improve lives in our communities in collaboration with our valued community partners.

2015 marked a special season for our organization and our fans, as the Denver Broncos were recognized as World Champions both on and off the field. We were so honored to celebrate our Super Bowl 50 win with all of Broncos Country and our community members.

Throughout the year, our players, coaches and staff have worked tirelessly to deliver not only a winning product on the field, but also to impact our communities through countless hours of service. Our players are out in the community every week of the season participating in events and outreach including but not limited to: Boys & Girls Club programming, hospital visits, Play 60 events, football safety clinics, character development education and so much more.

This community has given so much to the Denver Broncos, and we are fortunate to work with such wonderful partners in the spirit of giving back. Our communities and fans deserve the very best, and we will continue to earn your support and as we work to improve lives in our communities.

Sincerely,

Joe EllisPresident and CEO

DEAR BRONCOS COUNTRY,The efforts of our players

representing this team in the community are extraordinary

and I can’t emphasize that enough. Several of these players do so much in our

community that goes unnoticed. I just want to take this time

to thank our players for being extraordinary ambassadors in

our community.

The Denver Broncos were proud to support the ninth season of Futures Football. Futures, which started with Denver Public Schools in 2008, is a tackle football program for middle school students in both Denver and Aurora Public Schools.

Each team, made up of 35 student athletes, also participated in a five-week character development course led by local non-profit Project PAVE. Through innovative intervention and prevention education programming, Project PAVE instructors have designed a curriculum specifically for middle school football players that will focus on team values, healthy relationships, character development, positive conflict resolution and other relevant topics.

The 15 teams played a five week regular season schedule starting on Saturday, March 7, followed by three weeks of postseason play.

In 2015 and in conjunction with USA Football, the Broncos hosted five Player Safety Coach Clinics at the UCHealth Training Center. Each clinic, with attendees from youth and high school football, educated and certificated coaches on the key components of Heads Up Football. Led by Colorado USA Football Master Trainers and doctors from Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, attendees were educated on concussion awareness, heat & hydration, sudden cardiac arrest, equipment fitting, heads up tackling and head up blocking.

HEALTH & WELLNESS | FUEL UP TO PLAY 60HEALTH & WELLNESS | PLAY 60

NFL PLAY 60 is the National Football League’s campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day in order to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity. The Broncos activate Play 60 programming through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver through events including, but not limited to the NFL PLAY 60 Challenge in partnership with the American Heart Association (AHA) and Hometown Huddle in conjunction with Playworks Colorado, the AHA, and Mile High United Way. In 2015, the Broncos worked with two Boys & Girls Clubs (Broncos and Owen) to host two Gatorade Jr. Training Camps to kick off the Fall Play 60 Challenge. Miles and Broncos Cheer were in attendance to help lead activity stations.

The NFL and National Dairy Council have joined forces to create Fuel Up to Play 60, a national in-school program mobilizing youth to combine physical activity with nutritious eating habits. The Denver Broncos 2015 NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year, safety David Bruton, partnered to be the Fuel Up to Play 60 spokesperson for the Western Dairy Association, which implements the program in Colorado schools.

The Denver Broncos, UCHealth and the team’s loyal fans broke a Guinness World Record by sporting 6,471 fake orange mustaches to raise awareness for men’s health issues at the team’s Nov. 29 game against the New England Patriots.

UCHealth provided orange mustaches to all fans attending the game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High enabling Broncos fans to break the Guinness World Record for the largest number of fake mustaches worn at one time in the same location.

Fans not attending the game were encouraged to participate by wearing fake (or real) mustaches and posting pictures on social media using the #Broncostache. Broncos players participated in the fun as well, all while shedding light on important men’s health issues.

Throughout the month, the Broncos and UCHealth shared information and tips on DenverBroncos.com/menshealth and other social media platforms about health topics affecting men, including prostate and testicular cancer, heart health, exercise, nutrition, lung cancer screenings and the importance of annual checkups with a primary care physician.

SALUTE TO SERVICESALUTE TO SERVICE

The Broncos held their annual Salute to Service game presented by USAA in November in honor of the contributions and commitment of our nation’s service men and women.

Prior to the game, USAA hosted a reception for more than 200 military guests and a special USAA Challenge Coin was used for the coin toss. Military members took part in player introductions, running out to the field alongside Denver Broncos starters. During halftime, various branches of the military—including wounded vets and their Freedom Service Dogs—were honored on field, receiving a game ball on behalf of the unit from a Broncos Alumnus. Game-worn Salute to Service merchandise and footballs were auctioned off after the game with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Pat Tillman Foundation, the USO and the Wounded Warrior Project.

For the fourth year in a row, the Broncos Military Caravan traveled to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs where Broncos President and CEO Joe Ellis, current players, Broncos Alumni, Broncos Cheerleaders and Miles the Mascot visited with military members. The Broncos also hosted a “Pros vs. G.I. Joes” event, where Broncos players played video games against active military overseas and wounded warriors stateside. Earlier in the season, USAA and the Broncos hosted the “USAA Military Combine,” where current military members competed in NFL Combine style drills.

The Denver Broncos and Stadium Management Company employ more than 50 men and women who have served our nation. They represent all the military branches and vary in rank from Colonel to Corporal. During the season Broncos Cheer held their eighth annual Cheer for the Troops campaign where they collected basic goods to send overseas to our military, and a number of players, cheerleaders and alumni visited Schriever Air Force Base with the USAA Salute to Service Caravan.

Denver Broncos defensive end Malik Jackson was the Broncos 2015 USAA Salute to Service Award nominee in recognition of his work with military children and families.

COMMUNITY AWARDS | WALTER PAYTON NFL MAN OF THE YEARCOMMUNITY AWARDS | WALTER PAYTON NFL MAN OF THE YEAR

The Denver Broncos selected safety David Bruton Jr. as their 2015 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award recipient. This prestigious award, presented by Nationwide, recognizes a player for outstanding leadership both on the field and in the community.

Earlier in 2015, Bruton Jr. founded the David Bruton Jr. Foundation, which supports youth reading initiatives. Bruton’s Books, the main program of his foundation, helps low-income children in grades K-3 become strong readers through tutoring and by providing books to underfunded schools, libraries and classrooms. In September, Bruton Jr. made a $26,000 personal donation—with $10,000 allocated to AmeriCorps reading tutors—to build literacy programs in Colorado and increase the number of books in schools.

The third-year team captain also served as the Western Dairy Fuel Up to Play 60 spokesperson, helping educate students on how to lead healthier lives. As part of his work with Fuel Up to Play 60, the seventh-year safety led an assembly at Englewood Middle School in October and discussed how a healthy and balanced diet can improve performance on the field and in the classroom.

In addition to his own charitable efforts, Bruton Jr. was a regular participant in team community events. He volunteered his time for Drive for Life, Hometown Huddle, Taste of the Broncos and events with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.

Bruton Jr.’s selection as the Broncos Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award recipient was recognized during Denver’s home game against Oakland on Sunday, Dec. 13, and Nationwide made a $10,000 donation to his foundation.

SALUTE TO SERVICEThe Denver Broncos proudly nominated Malik Jackson for the 2015 Salute to Service Award presented by USAA.

The fourth-year defensive end partnered with Helping Hands for Freedom to serve as a spokesman for the organization and work together to support military children and families who are thrust into tough situations of deployment, injury or loss.

Jackson hosted his first youth football camp in Colorado Springs for children ages 8-14 in July and teamed up with Helping Hands for Freedom to offer complimentary entry for children of military families. He chose to host his three-day camp in Colorado Springs due to the large population of military families with its proximity to the Air Force Academy and Fort Carson Air Base.

Jackson also teamed up with Helping Hands for Freedom to launch their Lucky 7 for Kids Campaign, which aims to raise money by encouraging 100,000 people to donate $7 to the campaign. All donations to the campaign will be directed to Helping Hands for Freedoms’ four military youth program areas: Life Enrichment, Sports & Education, Life Assistance and the Dream “Chaser” Program.

THANK YOU PEYTONTHANK YOU PEYTON

THANK YOU PEYTONDenver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, a five-time MVP and 14-time Pro Bowler, announced his retirement from the NFL in March after four years with the Broncos and 18 years in the NFL.

Manning is one of only eight players in NFL history to win all three of the league’s most prestigious community awards: the Byron “Whizzer” White Humanitarian Award (2004), the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award (2005) and the Bart Starr Award (2015).

His PeyBack Foundation has granted more than $11 million to organizations in CO, LA, IN, and TN and he continues to be involved with the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis. Furthermore, he has funded scholarships for 25 incoming students at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee.

During his time with the Broncos he was a staple in the community, contributing to team events and outreach in addition to all he did for our communities and fans behind the scenes.

I’ve always felt it’s important to help out the communities that have helped me out and helped my family out.

- QB Peyton Manning“Off the field, Peyton is one of the greatest ambassadors this organization and the

National Football League has ever seen.”

“Peyton was everything that we thought he was and even more—not only for the football

team but in the community.”

“Since Day One in this community, Peyton has been the consummate professional, investing both his time and his money to advance the wellbeing of Coloradans. From countless Make-A-Wish fulfillments, to providing Thanksgiving dinners for members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, to connecting with victims of the Aurora Theater shootings, to walking shoulder to shoulder with the community in the American Heart Association Heart Walk, he has been there. He has been a true ambassador for the Denver Broncos, and our office acknowledges the high bar he set.”

COMMUNITY SUPPORT | BRONCOS CHEERLEADERSCOMMUNITY SUPPORT | BRONCOS ALUMNI

Broncos Alumni continue to be an integral part of the Broncos Be A Champion in the Community platform. Alumni support the club and give back to the community by volunteering at a number of team community events, including but not limited to Drive for Life and the High School Game of the Week series.

In 2015, the members of the Denver Broncos cheerleading squad divided more than 1,500 hours of civic involvement among 100 Colorado organizations. Many associations, including, Children’s Hospital, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Denver Rescue Mission and more were supported and visited by members of last year’s team.

The Junior Cheer program, now in its 17th season, promotes self-esteem, discipline, and Broncos pride in girls ages 6-14. Since 2008, the Dare to Cheer program in partnership with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, has reached out to young women with disabilities to share the joy of Broncos football.

The Cheer for the Troops campaign will continue to be a benchmark program, collecting much-needed items for servicemen and women all over the world to be distributed during the holidays. Since 2003, members of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders have toured military bases in Egypt, Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan, Italy, Guam, Hawaii, Kwajalein, Japan and Australia performing their 90-minute show to boost the troops’ morale and thank them for their service to our country.
