Our team of Brand Managers in both the UK and China place a lot of emphasis on developing compelling products that show real innovation. • Marvel’s The Avengers Assemble was the No 1 film of 2012 and the 3rd highest grossing

film of all time, earning over $1.5 billion at the global box office!

• The Avengers franchise is supported by two ongoing, top –performing animated series: Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and

Marvel’s Hulk & the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Both series will be on air in Spring/Summer 2015.

• Avengers are the No 3 spontaneous favourite characters amongst UK boys 6-14.

• The franchise is also supported by multiple publishing (Comics, Magazines etc.) and digital initiatives (Marvel Infinity 2.0, new

Marvel Kids website etc.).

• The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released in movie theatres in April 2015. All the iconic heroes made world-famous in the

first film return: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow.

• Avengers: Age of Ultron DVD/Blu-ray release is due end August 2015.

• Warner Bros is celebrating 75th years of Batman this year. To celebrate, a plethora of new

licensing partnerships have been signed across the EMEA region.

• In the UK, Rubie’s and LEGO will support a six date retail tour across Smyths Toy Stores. The tour will include Batman 75th anniversary-

themed photo opportunities for children and adults alike.

• The Super Hero trend is continuing across the region as H&M’s global deal for DC Comics Super Heroes continues to build and, in the UK, Primark is

enjoying huge success with its DC Comics range of t-shirts .

• The Batman brand can be described as a true entertainment powerhouse: it continues to attract fans of all ages, buoyed by the trend for nostalgia and for

Super Heroes, and supported and inspired by the fantastic slate of new content coming from DC Entertainment and Warner Bros.

• Batman animated series is currently on CITV. Next TV show has been sold to Amazon Prime.

• New Gotham show will be on screen mid-October 2014 in the UK (Channel 5) and will continue throughout 2015.

• Justice League show will be launched in Q4 2015

• Batman vs. Superman movie will be released in the UK on 25th March 2016 with a Justice League

follow up in 2017.

anniversary. Few other brands have experienced the longevity, prosperity

and respect that Hello Kitty has achieved.

• Hello Kitty spans more than 70 countries and more than 50,000 products

are available in 15,000 retail doors.

• In 2014, Sanrio has developed a dedicated licensing program for the

character in the EMEA that includes a number of limited editions and special

products such as the anniversary line in Sephora (eye shadows, lip balms

and accessories).

• Recent partnerships include stationery as well as SEGA Europe for a

brand-new collaboration between Hello Kitty and Sonic the Hedgehog for

EMEA markets.

• There will also be a 2nd release in the Warner Bros collaboration. Consumer

products cross-over with DC Comics characters will see Hello Kitty styled as

Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

• The brand engages fans through social media with an audience currently

higher than 19 million across major social platforms.

There are a lot of new initiatives such as digital apps and

entertainment in development.

• Sanrio is also launching its first ever live event,

Kitty Con, in LA in November 2014.
