E F N E P Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program

EFNEP helps you ...

look and feel your best

get your kids to eat their

vegetables

make it to the end of the month

without running out of food

With EFNEP you ...

save money---shop smarter

save time in the store and in the

kitchen

help picky eaters try new foods

make easy, delicious and

nutritious low-cost meals

learn new cooking skills

EFNEP is …

a nutrition education program that’s

made specially for you.

We have group classes, home visits,

and even lessons-by-mail. Best of

all, EFNEP is free! That’s right,

free.

Who can participate?

EFNEP helps families with children

and pregnant women who have

limited resources learn to shop

smarter, eat healthier, and save

money.

If you have a limited income, or are

eligible for 3SquaresVT, WIC,

Head Start, school meals or another

similar program, you probably

qualify.

If you are not sure you are eligible,

an EFNEP Educator can ask you

some questions to see if you

qualify.

Here’s what participants have

to say about EFNEP ...

“Now I know more ways to get

my kids to eat healthy and still

have good tasting food.” --Mother from Addison County

“I liked learning how much

sugar is in different foods. I

never knew how much sugar

was in soda.” --Child from Orleans County

“I am comparing labels and

recipes before I make my

meals.” --Teen from Franklin County
