Students who take AP courses score higher on the SAT
AP English – 251 points AP Science – 284 points AP Math – 294 points
Students who take AP courses stand out to college admissions and scholarship committees are more likely to graduate from college
May receive college credit for AP courses taken in high school when students earn at least a 3 or higher on AP exams
Students are more prepared for college-level analytical and study skills

You may earn high school credit for the following courses:
• Spanish 1(requirement for graduation)
• Communication Applications/Speech (required for graduation)/Health
• Art 1 (Fulfills fine arts requirement for graduation)
• Lifetime Nutrition and WellnessGrades for these courses will be
included in your high school GPA to be considered when applying for
colleges.
SSI Math and Reading
This class will replace an elective for students needing
additional support in Math and Reading classes
based on their performance on the STAAR Test.
Top Titans
Students who meet the following requirements for one six Week period will gain TOP TITANS status and opportunities to earn rewards each 6 weeks.
Requirements:
• Maintain an 85 average in all classes
• Be free of office referrals• Perform a minimum of 5
