q Ms. Rekha Sukhani (MBA-HR Sem. IV) received 11,000/- cash prize, First Position Certificate and

Gold Shield in National Level Summer Project Presentation Competition 'Spardha 2015' organized by

Institute of Rural Management, Jaipur from 20-21 November 2015.

q Ms. Nifeeya Singh (B.Sc. Sem. IV) bagged Third Position in the Inter Collegiate Science Quiz

Competition “Chemistry Olympiad (UMCCO-15)” organized by Maharani's College, Rajasthan University,

Jaipur on 25 January 2016.

q Ms. Shruti Jain (Research Scholar, Management Studies) received a Cash Reward of Rs. 50, 000/-

and was the First runner up in International Jewellery Design Awards 2015 organized by Jeweller's

Association, Jaipur on 21 August 2015.

q Ms. Shiromi Chaturvedi (B.Sc. Hons Sem. VI) stood Second in Essay Writing Competition

organized by IHMR, in affiliation with WHO on 7 April 2015.

q Ms. Shweta Soni, Ms. Gunjan Khadria and Ms. Gunjan Sharma (B.Sc. Sem. V) won Third Prize in

Bio Quiz (BioChrome 2015) organized by B.Lal Institute of Biotechnology, Jaipur from 15-17 October

2015.

q Ms. Sushmita Aswal (Research Scholar, Microbiology) secured First Prize in Poster Presentation

in BIOCON 2015 organized by Biyani Girls College, Jaipur on 22 September 2015.

q Ms. Shruti Agarwal (Research Scholar, Biotechnology) awarded with the “Madhya Pradesh

Young Scientist Award” for the scientific contribution in the field of environmental Sciences and won

cash prize of Rs. 25000/-.

q Ms. Nandini Sharma and Ms. Noopur Bhargava (B.Sc. Sem. IV) bagged Best Performance award

in American Society for Microbiology Virtual Workshop on "Scientific Writing and Publishing" on 6

December, 2015.

• National winner in “Rio + 22 UN Sustainable Energy for All India Program” organized by

IARC Centre for United Nations.

• Selected for the award of ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship for the year 2015-2016.

q Ms. Shivani Panwar (BCA VI Sem. I) secured Second Position in the Power point Presentation

competition held at Maharani's College on 25 January 2016.

q Ms. Lakshita Goel (MBA IB Sem. II) secured Third Position in Extempore and represented The IIS

University at Forest Training Institute on the occasion of Ozone Day Celebration on 16 September 2015.

q Students of the Department of Economics, The IIS University participated in Economics Fest

'SYNERGY' organized by St. Xavier's College on 12 and 13 September, 2015. The IIS University was the

overall winner out of the 18 participating colleges from all over India. The awards won by the team IISU

were:

• The team comprising of Ms. Anukriti Gupta (BSc Honours, Sem V), Ms. Shuchi Gupta (BA

Honours, Sem V), Ms. Trupti Vashishtha (BA Honours, Sem V) and Ms. Sanskriti Rawat (BA Honours, Sem

III) won first prize in KOOTNITI. They were also awarded with the cash prize of Rs. 3000/-.

• The team comprising of Ms. Anukriti Gupta (BSc Honours, Sem V), Ms. Trupti Vashishtha

(BA Honours, Sem V), Ms. Pooja Mathur (BA Honours, Sem V) and, Ms. Chetasha Jain (BA Honours, Sem

V) bagged second prize in ECONOMICS LIVE.

• The team comprising of Ms. Apoorva Devanshi (BA Honours, Sem V), Ms. Ayushi Saxena

(BA Honours, Sem II), Ms. Kawaljot Kaur (BA Honours, Sem V) and, Ms. Vijaya Agarwal (BSc Honours,

Sem III) won first prize in ECOTECTURE.

received the 'Best Actress Award'.

at 'ZEST' organized by St. Xavier's College, Jaipur from 17-19 January 2016.

q The Theatrical Society of the University stood First in Stage Play Drama. Ms. Sakshi Singh was

adjudged 'The Best Actress'.

q Ms. Anshika Madnani and group participated in Nukkad Natak organized by LNMIT, Jaipur and

stood Third. They also participated in Stage Play and won Second Prize. Anshika Gupta received the Best

Actress Award.

q A team of 33 students participated in the All India Cultural Fest organized by IIT, Jodhpur from

26 to 28 February 2016

• The Performing Arts Club of The IIS University led by Ms. Manika Sharma won the

flagship event 'Antarang' (Fashion Fiesta) and won sponsored gifts worth Rs. 2 lac and Cash Prize of Rs.

25,000/-.

• Ms. Mousha Khatri was adjudged “Miss Antarang”.

• Ms. Anshka Madnani and Ms. Shivani Gera stood Second and Third respectively in Mono

Acting Competition.

• The team of Theatrical Society led by Ms. Shivani Gera stood second in Nukkad Natak.

They received a cash Prize of Rs. 10,000/ for the same.

• Ms. Jyoti Singh won the Creative Writing Competition and a cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-.

q Ms. Shiromi Chaturvedi (B.Sc. (H) Sem. VI) and Ms. Preksha Jain (BJMC Sem. VI) won the All India

Debate organized by J.K.Lakshmipat University, Jaipur. The winning team received a cash prize of Rs.

10,000/ for the same.

q IIS Yuva Chaupal secured a Special Recognition Award for its various activities under the banner

of CII Young Indians (Yi) for the session 2015-16 on 26 February 2016.

Sports

q The IIS University Tennis team (Ms. Purnima Nathawat, Ms. Meenal Maharwal and Ms. Pragati

Dagga) secured 4th Position and qualified for All India Inter University Tennis (W) Tournament organized

by KIIT, Bhubaneswar from 25-28 December 2015.

q The IIS University Basketball Team (Ms. Vanika Jain, Ms. Manmeet Kaur, Ms. Kritika Khandelwal,

Ms. Sonal Shekhawat, Ms. Anisha Dudi, Ms. Ritika, Ms. Chestha Choudhary, Ms. Nandani Rathore, Ms.

Monika, Ms. Jagruti Chowdhry, Ms. Archana Soni) secured 1st position and received a Cash Prize of Rs.

3000/- in 'Abhivarta-16' in Annual Inter-College Sports Fest organized by Manipal University, Jaipur from

12-14 February 2016 and won a Trophy in 'MST-16' in Annual Inter-College Sports Fest organized by

Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur from 19-21 February 2016.

q The IIS University Volleyball Team (Ms. Jaya Dwivedi, Ms. Nisha Chaturvedi, Ms. Mamta Chahar,

Ms. Ekta Sharma, Ms. Nivedita Rathore, Ms. Kiran Choudhary, Ms. Mumal Kanwar, Ms. Deepika

Shekhawat, Ms. Nishtha Gupta, Ms. Shailja) secured 2nd position and have collectively won a Trophy,

Medals, Certificates and a Cash Prize of Rs. 2000/- in 'Abhivarta-16' in Annual Inter-College Sports Fest

organized by Manipal University, Jaipur from 12-14 February 2016 and won a Trophy in 'MST-16' in

Annual Inter-College Sports Fest organized by Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur

from 19-21 February 2016.

q Ms. Monika secured the 1st Position in 100 m event and received a certificate and a medal in

'Abhivarta-16' in Annual Inter-College Sports Fest organized by Manipal University, Jaipur from 12-14

February 2016.

q Ms. Barkha Chauhan won Gold Medal in Air Rifle Junior and Senior Women Ranking in various

Tournaments :

• 2nd Position in Karni Singh Shooting Tournament, Ajmer from 15-20 August 2015

• 5th Position in Gun for Glory Shooting Championship, Pune from 6-13 September 2015.

• 14th Rank in Rajasthan State Open Shooting Championship from 21-24 September 2015.

• 2nd Position in Sports craft Shooting Championship, New Delhi from 12-19 October

2015.

• 35th Rank in North Zone Shooting Championship, New Delhi from 15-21 November

2015.

q Ms. Sumita Rathore won Gold medal in 10 m Air Pistol in various Tournaments:

• 9th Rank in All India Maharaja Dr. Karni Singh Memorial Shooting Championship,

Bikaner from 12-19 October 2015.

• 4th Rank in Rajasthan State Open Shooting Championship from 21-24 September 2015.

q Ms. Sumita Rathore & Ms. Aishwarya Shekhawat (Team Events) won silver medal in 10 m Air

Pistol in 9th All India Maharaja Dr. Karni Singh Memorial Shooting Championship, Jaipur.

q Rajasthan State Taekwondo Tournament was organized in Sawai Man Singh Stadium (SMS),

Jaipur from 28-29 September 2015. The following students secured position under various weight

categories:

• Ms. Tanya Verma won Silver medal (under 57 kg weight category).

• Ms. Shivani Sharma won Silver medal (under 67 kg weight category).

• Ms. Ambica Poonia won Bronze medal (under 62 kg weight category).

q Ms. Ambica Poonia and Ms. Trupti Vashishtha acted as Technical delegate in 11th TBI National

Taekwondo Tournament, Jaipur from 2-4 October 2015.

NCC

q Under Officer Swaranjali Saxena received cash prize of Rs.2,000 for special achievements in NCC

Unit and attended Advance Leadership Camp at Mallot, Punjab from 7 to 20 September 2015 and

attended SSB Course at Officer's Training Academy, Gwalior from 16 November-25 November 2015.

q Sgt. Anjali Sahrawat received cash prize of Rs.2,000 for her achievements in shooting for NCC

and attended a Tracking Camp at Darjeeling 25 November-6 December 2015.

q Cdt. Barkha Chauhan received cash prize of Rs,8,000 for her achievements in shooting for NCC.

q Warrant Officer Richa Joshi was selected to represent India in Youth Exchange program in

Vietnam from 16-27 September 2015 and was the only girl cadet from Rajasthan Directorate.

q The IIS University cadets attended a Blood Donation Camp at 1 Raj Air SQN. NCC unit, Jaipur on

9 September 2015.

q Cdt. Millisa Singh attended All India Vayu Saink Camp in Airomodeling held at Jodhpur from 8-19

Oct 2015.
