EXECUTIVE SUMMARY It gives me great pleasure to invite your company to join with other community minded corporate sponsors and become a partner and category naming rights sponsor of the 2014/2015 Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards. The aims and objectives of the Awards are to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contribution individuals up to the age of 28 are making throughout South Australia. Channel 9, SAFM, Triple M and WIN Television are our media partners along with other supporting regional media in assisting us to identify, recognise and acknowledge these achievements. The Awards, entering their 26th year, are South Australia’s most prestigious youth Awards Program. Our marketing and promotional campaign utilises all areas of the media, social media, direct mail, local government and corporate and community participation. Therefore as a category naming rights sponsor, your company can be assured of receiving extensive positive recognition throughout South Australia.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards is an Awards Program designed to recognise, encourage and reward South Australia’s most vital resource, its young South Australians. Each year the Awards seeks out and promote the incredible achievements on young individuals that creates a sense of state pride, unity and inspiration through their example as mentors and role models to the wider community. The main objectives of the Awards are to:

Acknowledge & highlight the achievements of young South Australians;

Educate the general public with examples of youth achievement;

Encourage & motivate young South Australians at all levels in their chosen field of endeavour;

Develop a sense of pride in being South Australian;

Build self-confidence through rewards for excellence;

Provide role models & mentors for our youth by highlighting their achievements and the pursuit of excellence;

Develop and encourage leadership and life skills in young South Australians. The Awards recognise the achievements of young South Australians and culminate at the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner in the naming of the category winners and the overall State winner - the Premiers’/Channel 9 Young Achiever of the Year. The public and media support of the Awards will provide many opportunities for exposure for your company. With the combination of media support from Channel 9, SAFM, Triple M and WIN Television and local media supporters we will be able to reach all South Australians.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT The Awards receive enormous support from the general community. Each of the categories is heavily promoted through their peer support group and network, collectively and individually. As a naming right’s Category Sponsor, your company will receive individual promotion and recognition and at the same time receive cross-promotional benefits when the categories are promoted in their respective peak networks. Community support comes from areas of local government, businesses, hospitals, libraries, high schools, tertiary institutions and community associations involved with the categories.

The Awards receive tremendous support from State and Local Government authorities. A mail-out is undertaken to all Local Government Associations throughout South Australia for their continued involvement during the “call for nominations” period. All areas of government are invited to attend the Launch and the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner.

OPERATIONS AND EVENTS CALENDER OF EVENTS The Awards Program will be launched in August 2014. The Awards Program focuses at a local and broader level to highlight the “call for nominations” period.

The Awards Gala Presentation Dinner will be held at the Hilton Adelaide in April 2015.

At the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner the category winners will be announced, and the Premier as

Patron of the Awards will be invited to announce the overall State winner, the Premier’s/Channel 9 Young

Achiever of the Year.

LAUNCH The Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards will be launched in August 2014 and will be a morning tea format with the primary objective of attracting media and community attendance. It is envisaged that approximately 60 guests associated with youth activities and community leaders will attend. As a Category Award Sponsor of the Program your company will receive exposure through the Launch process and will be invited to supply a guest list of those you would like to attend this function.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS A three-month “call for nominations” period will commence after the Launch in August 2014 and conclude in December 2014. Your company will feature heavily in the “call for nominations” media campaign. The Awards Co-ordinator undertakes an extensive mail-out during the nomination period, involving community groups, institutions, government departments, sponsors’ branches, libraries and volunteer organisations. Extensive exposure of the Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards is achieved through 30-second television commercials aired by Channel 9 and regionally through WIN Television. This is supported by a coupon displayed regularly in supporting newspapers, as well as radio coverage on SAFM and Triple M and throughout the State.

JUDGING Judging will take place in February 2015. Invitations are extended to Presenters and Prize and Category Award sponsors of the Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards to form part of the Judging Panel. An Expert Judge for each category will also be invited to shortlist the nominations and be part of the panel. Your company will be invited to supply a Senior Executive to contribute to the judging process. This will include selection of three finalists and one winner for your sponsored category. From the category winners, one is selected to become the overall State winner – the Premier’s/Channel 9 Young Achiever of the Year. This selection is made at the end of the judging day by the Executive Judging Panel.

AWARDS GALA PRESENTATION DINNER The Awards Gala Presentation Dinner will be held to acknowledge the finalists, announce the category winners and to announce the Premier’s/Channel 9 Young Achiever of the Year. The Presentation will be a formal dinner attended by approximately 400 guests. Category Award sponsors are invited to have a senior executive present their three finalists and announce the winner of their category on the night. A Senior Executive from your company will be invited to make a short speech and make the presentation to the three category finalists and announce the winner of your company’s Award and present the $1,000 prize money and trophy. Your company will receive a table of ten complimentary tickets to attend the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner.

AWARD PRIZES

With the support of a principal Prize Sponsor, the prizes attract considerable attention, which focus on the

image of a high-class youth Awards Program open to all young South Australians 28 years and under.

Each of the category winners will receive $1,000. The Premier’s/Channel 9 Young Achiever of the Year will

receive an additional $5,000 and a trip for two provided by Hilton Hotels. All winners are also presented

with a trophy.

All nominees to enter the Awards Program receive a certificate of recognition and a letter of

encouragement for their achievements. With the prize pool and the incentives for all involved, the Awards

Program attracts an extremely high calibre of nominees who in turn attract extensive media exposure for

the Program, the presenters and all sponsors involved.

MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS TELEVISION A 30-second television commercial will be produced for the Program promoting the call for nominations throughout South Australia. The ad will feature your company’s involvement and logo recognition as well as other sponsors of the Program. These ads will run on Channel 9 and regionally through WIN Television from August 2014 until the close of the nominations in December 2014. A 30-second television commercial will also be produced following the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner to promote the Awards winners and will be aired on Channel 9 and WIN for a period of four-six weeks. The commercial will feature your company’s involvement and logo recognition as well as other sponsors of the Program.

PRESS A mail-out to all newspapers throughout the State is undertaken during the set-up period of the Awards. Through this process, the Awards receive essential support from numerous metropolitan and regional newspapers through editorials and display advertisements calling for nominations.

RADIO A mail-out to all radio stations throughout the State is undertaken during the set-up period of the Awards. Through this process, the Awards receive essential support from numerous metropolitan and regional radio stations and networks. A radio advertisement for the call for nominations period will be produced and distributed to all supporting radio stations including our sponsor stations SAFM and Triple M. Further to the radio CSA’s numerous interviews are also conducted promoting the various stages of the Awards. These interviews include mention of the presenters, category and prize sponsors as well as nominees to excite interest in the Program.

SOCIAL MEDIA Extensive Facebook and twitter campaigns including paid advertising and placements will be undertaken

during the call for nominations and to promote finalists and winners.

PRINTED LITERATURE AND DIRECT MAIL Printed literature for the Program consists of: nomination enquiry forms, posters, launch invitations, presentation invitations, acceptance cards, place cards, certificates and a printed program for Awards Gala Presentation Dinner. Additionally general stationery is produced such as letterhead and envelopes. All of the printed literature will carry identification of your company as a Category Award Sponsor within the Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards Program. From August 2014 to December 2014 over 8,000 assorted direct mail packages will be distributed throughout South Australia to individuals and organisations associated within the Award categories.

WEBSITE The web site offers a fully interactive service, which illustrates detailed information about the Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards. This site will explain the eligibility criteria with full instructions on how to nominate, and the process of the nominations. Your company and other program sponsors will have links to their website from the Awards Program website.

PUBLIC RELATIONS Each program element will be supported by a comprehensive public relations campaign, your company will be featured continually throughout the public relations campaign. Media releases cover all stages of the Awards campaign as follows:

Prior to the Launch highlighting the opening of the Program and all those involved, particularly the category Award sponsors.

After the Launch to attract nominations (both category specific and collective releases) throughout August 2014 to December 2014 on a weekly basis.

As nominations are received media releases are forwarded weekly, particularly to origin area of nomination, to encourage more nominations and community support in general.

Prior to close of nominations – media releases are forwarded to all electronic and press media highlighting the impending close of nomination date.

Following judging – periodic media releases are distributed announcing the 30 category finalists throughout February to April 2015 until the State Awards Presentation and announcements.

Following the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner – media releases are distributed announcing the ten category winners and the Premier’s/Channel 9 Young Achiever of the Year.

The public relations program will cover all mass media; in particular the television stations, newspapers and radio stations involved as partners in the Awards.

SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL

PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL It is with great pleasure that we invite your company to become a category naming rights sponsor of the Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards for the duration of the program.

The cost for category naming rights sponsorship for 2014/2015 is $10,950 plus GST (all inclusive)

If you confirm involvement by the 2nd May, we are pleased to offer you a 5% discount No other costs are involved in the program.

Your sponsorship contribution will go directly towards promoting your category and facilitating a high quality Awards program targeting our young high achievers throughout South Australia whilst also increasing state pride. At the conclusion of the Program, your company will be given first rights to continue the sponsorship agreement for 2015/2016. A payment schedule for sponsorship is flexible and may be paid in one, two or more payments in the 2013/2014 or 2014/2015 financial year or split i.e. half payment in June 2014 and half in February 2015.

SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS Your company will receive the following in return for your commitment and involvement with the Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards as a Category Naming Rights Sponsor of the Program:

1. The television promotion ads will be screened on Channel 9 and WIN Television from the Launch in

August 2014 until the close of nominations in December 2014. Your company’s involvement and logo recognition will be on all ads.

2. Your company will receive quality exposure in the display coupons calling for nominations and editorials featured regularly in supporting newspapers, magazines and newsletters throughout South Australia from August 2014 to April 2015.

3. Your company will feature in the Launch and your guests will be invited as VIP’s to this public function. 4. A Quality silk banner featuring your company will be strategically displayed at public events associated

with the Awards Program including the Launch and at the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner and any additional activities coordinated for the Program.

5. Your company will be featured in 7,000 nomination enquiry forms which are distributed to leading

business houses, community organisations, service clubs, media outlets, schools, universities, libraries, councils, offices of Members of Parliament, and sponsor outlets throughout South Australia.

6. Your company will be featured in 1,000 colour posters which will be displayed and available throughout

business houses, media outlets, schools, universities, libraries, councils, offices of Members of Parliament, and sponsor outlets.

7. Extensive Facebook and twitter campaigns including paid advertising and placements will be

undertaken during the call for nominations and to promote finalists and winners. 8. 1,500 invitations featuring your company will be distributed throughout South Australia to leading

business houses, media and category-related organisations promoting the Launch and the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner. Additionally 500 acceptance cards, place cards and printed Programs for the Presentation Dinner are produced, again featuring your involvement.

9. 300 certificates will be printed and presented, personally where possible, to all nominees of the

Program and including finalists and winners. 10. Your company will receive an End-of-Program Report summarising all promotional and media activity

for each stage of the Program (including copies of media clippings and DVD copies of the ads featured on Channel 9 and WIN).

11. Your company will be mentioned in media releases and media interviews conducted throughout South

Australia where possible.

12. Your company will be invited to have a senior representative on the Executive Judging Panel where the

three finalists and the overall winner are selected.

13. Your company’s Senior Executive will be invited to make a speech and present the three category finalists and announce the winner of your company’s Category Award at the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner.

14. Ten Complimentary tickets will be available for your company representatives to attend the Awards

Gala Presentation Dinner. 15. Your company will feature in the congratulations ad produced by Channel 9 and WIN Television to

promote the category winners and the Premier’s/Channel 9 Young Achiever of the Year to run for 4-6 weeks after the Awards Presentations.
