The 11 kills are a season-high for Lawrence, while Thomas added a team-leading 14 digs for her fourth double-double of the sea-son. Alabama resumes play next Sunday Oct. 19, welcoming Ole Miss (15-3, 1-3 SEC) to Foster Auditorium for a 1 p.m. CT match. The match will also be the Tide’s annual Power of Pink match, which aims to raise awareness for breast cancer and raise funds for the DCH Breast Cancer Fund.

Arkansas: The Razorbacks improved to 4-1 in the SEC with victo-ries over Ole Miss and Georgia this past weekend. On Wednesday vs. Ole Miss, Meredith Hays had her 11th match of the season with at least 15 kills to go along with a .308 hitting percentage against the Rebels. She finished with nine digs, just one shy of completing her sixth double-double of the year. With 10 kills in the match, Samantha Skinner reached double figures for the sec-ond time in conference play. Chanell Clark-Bibbs rounded out the top three with eight kills. Bailee Hankenson directed the offense with 35 assists. On Sunday against Georgia, Hays led all players with 23 kills, good for her eighth 20-kill performance of the year and third of the conference season. She was joined in double fig-ures by Liz Fortado and Skinner, who finished with 17 and 13 kills, respectively. Head coach Robert Pulliza earned his 100th career win with Sunday’s victory over Georgia. The Razorbacks continue conference play Wednesday with a road trip to No. 19 Texas A&M. First serve of the midweek matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT) and will be aired live on the SEC Network.

Auburn: Auburn dropped its two matches in SEC play last week-end at Missouri and No. 13 Kentucky … Alexa Filley continued to move up the Auburn record book in assists as the freshman now ranks fourth in single-season history with 696 … Emily Klitzke and Courtney Crable led the Tigers with a combined 15 kills last week-end, while Breanna Barksdale hit a team-best .364 and posted five blocks … The Tigers return home on Friday night for its lone match of the week, taking on Ole Miss at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network +.

The Gators and Kentucky Wildcats remain the two SEC teams undefeated in league play so far this season. UF will have a quick turnaround with its third match in a span of six days Wednesday when the Orange and Blue travel to Columbia for a mid-week ESPNU match against the Gamecocks. Wednesday’s UF-USC clash has cousins Darian Dozier and Alex Holston facing one another, while sisters Allie and Maddy Monserez will square off across the net. Florida freshman Rhamat Alhassan led the Orange and Blue through UF’s first two-match home weekend of conference play. Team Notesall year the squad has been able to do so against an opponent. LSU has accumulated 20 or fewer errors in a match six times this year and is 4-2 when doing so. LSU is 4-1 when holding an opponent to a .200 hitting percentage or less in a match. The Tigers have hit above .300 in seven of the last 11 sets, with a set hitting above .400 and one above .500. LSU has seven matches this season with six or more service aces in a match. The Tigers didn’t register a solo block as a group for the first time in the last 11 matches. LSU was out-blocked for just the second time in the last five. Mimi Eu-gene led LSU last week with 26 kills, averaging 4.33 per set, while also averaging 1.00 aces per set in the two matches. Eugene had five service aces against Tennessee and six for the week, becom-ing the second player since last Wednesday to have five in a single match. Briana Holman finished with 20 kills, averaging 3.33 kills per set, while finishing with a .559 hitting percentage. Holman’s .667 hitting percentage in the win over Tennessee is the highest this season, as she owns nine of the top 10 in a match this season. Malorie Pardo averaged 10.67 assists per set in the two wins, fin-ishing with 64 in two matches. Pardo had six kills with no errors on six attempts for a perfect attack percentage against the Lady Vols. Haley Smith averaged 3.67 digs per set in two matches, as she was one of five LSU players to average two digs per set along with Eugene, Cati Leak, Katie Lindelow and Pardo.

Ole Miss: Ole Miss went 1-1 last week, falling to Arkansas on the road 3-0, and then downing Mississippi State 3-0 at home on Sun-day. The Rebels improved to 16-3 overall and 2-3 in the SEC. With Sunday’s win, the Rebels have now posted the most consecutive home wins (9) and are off to their best start since the 1989 season when they started 17-2. Ole Miss improved to 68-23 against Mis-sissippi State and has won seven of the eight meetings. The Reb-els hit .402, which is their best hitting percentage in an SEC match this year and the second best overall. The Rebels rank among the top five in hitting percentage, opponent hitting percentage, kills per set, assists per set, service aces per set and blocks per set. Junior Nakeyta Clair continues to rank second in hitting percent-age at .425. She also ranks seventh in kills per set at 3.45. Aubrey Edie ranks fourth in assists per set at 11.15. Five of the next seven matches for the Rebels are on the road beginning with Auburn and Alabama this weekend.

Mississippi State: While it was a busy week on the campus of Mis-sissippi State, it was a busy week on the road for the MSU vol-leyball squad. The Bulldogs headed south to Baton Rouge, La., on Wednesday for an ESPNU clash with the LSU Tigers, falling in a 3-0 decision. MSU received a breather, having Friday off before head-ing up to Oxford, Miss., for a Magnolia State showdown with rival Ole Miss. The Bulldogs challenged the Rebels early on, as each squad traded time in the lead. The Rebels would make a late run to take the set, 25-23. From there, the Bulldogs would keep close, but were unable to pull out a win, falling in straight sets. MSU, currently 5-16 and 0-6 in the conference, will return home to host Tennessee and Missouri at Newell-Grissom. State will battle UT on Friday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. CT. MSU will close out the weekend with Mizzou on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m., in a nationally-televised contest on the SEC Network.

Missouri: Mizzou won its 12th consecutive home SEC match by defeating Auburn, 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-14), on Friday, Oct. 10 at the Hearnes Center. The win gave Mizzou head coach Wayne Kreklow his 200th win at Mizzou since taking over the head coach-ing role in 2005. Senior All-American Whitney Little also tallied her ninth school record, resetting the mark for block assists in a career. She had six in the match, giving her 378 in her three and a half seasons. Mizzou was led by the All-American duo of Carly Kan and Little. Kan paced the Tigers with a match-high 11 kills on .435 hitting while picking up six digs, two blocks, an ace and four assists. Little, aside from setting her ninth school record, added 10

kills on .643 hitting with her six block assists. Mizzou will conclude its non-conference slate with a Monday night match at UMKC, then host LSU on Oct. 17 and visit Mississippi State on Oct. 19.

South Carolina: In their only match of the weekend, the Game-cocks lost in four sets at Alabama on Sunday at Foster Auditorium. The Crimson Tide won by the scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-27 and 25-18. With the loss, Carolina falls to 13-4 on the season and 3-2 in SEC play. It was the Gamecocks’ first road loss this season. Ala-bama finished the afternoon with an edge in kills (57-47), hitting percentage (.230-.159), digs (53-50) and blocks (10-7). It marked just the fourth time this season Carolina has been out-blocked. Freshman outside hitter Taylr McNeil produced her third double-double of the year with 11 kills and 13 digs. Junior middle blocker Darian Dozier also had 11 kills while hitting .400 and two blocks. Senior libero Mikaela Christiaansne recorded 23 digs, the fourth time in the last five matches she has finished with 20 or more digs. The Gamecocks will return to action at home on Wednesday against No. 9 Florida. First serve is set for 6 p.m. at the Carolina Volleyball Center. The match will be televised on ESPNU.

Tennessee: The Lady Vols (7-13, 0-6 SEC) suffered a pair of sweeps last weekend as they closed out their four-match homestand -- which was their longest of the season. Tennessee fell 3-0 at the hands of No. 13 Kentucky on Friday before dropping another 3-0 decision to LSU on Sunday afternoon. Jamie Lea led UT with 16 kills on the weekend, posting eight in each contest. Lea continues to lead Tennessee in total kills at 154 and kills per set with 2.70. Fellow sophomore Raina Hembry had a solid defensive weekend, coming away with 10 total block assists to go along with her 10 total kills. She delivered a match-high six against LSU on Sunday. Against UK on Friday night, junior setter Lexi Dempsey delivered career assist number 1,500 early in the first set. She went on to finish with 14 for the match, and including her 11 assists against LSU, Dempsey is now 11 assists shy of moving into eighth place on UT’s all-time assists list. Dempsey is averaging 8.24 assists per set on the season. This week, Tennessee hits the road to face Missis-sippi State and Georgia. The Lady Vols suffered a season sweep to MSU last season, snapping what had been 10-match winning streak over the Bulldogs dating back to 2008. UT also dropped both meetings with UGA a season ago, including a 3-0 loss in Athens. Sunday’s match at Georgia marks Tennessee’s second ap-pearance on the SEC Network this season.

Texas A&M: Texas A&M (11-5, 3-2 SEC) went 1-1 last week, de-feating Alabama in five sets on Friday at Reed Arena, and then falling at No. 9 Florida in three sets in Gainesville on Sunday. The match against Florida marked A&M’s sixth top-15 ranked oppo-nent in 10 matches. With five conference matches in the books, Texas A&M middle blockers Shelby Sullivan and Jazzmin Babers remain atop the SEC leaderboard in hitting percentage, with Sul-livan hitting .494 and Babers hitting at a .458 clip in league play. A&M returns home to host Arkansas on Wednesday in a match that will be televised on the SEC Network. A&M, which is tied with South Carolina for fifth place in the league standings, is one game behind third-place Arkansas (10-8, 4-1 SEC). A&M is 3-0 in the all-time series against the Razorbacks, including 2-0 in matches played at Reed Arena. Razorback assistant coach Carol Price-Torok played volleyball at Texas A&M for Aggie head coach Laurie Cor-belli from 2000-03. For her fifth year, she played basketball for then-first-year head coach Gary Blair. A&M closes out the week at South Carolina. The Aggies will be looking to avenge last year’s 3-1 setback in Columbia, which remains A&M’s only loss to the Gamecocks in the six-match all-time series.
