Q: I am a part of a large group coming to Oracle OpenWorld or JavaOne. Is there a group registration

process or any discounts available for groups?

A: You can upgrade your existing registration at any time. Log into My Account and click on “Purchase

Additional Registration Items” in the upper right-hand corner to purchase either OpenWorld and/or

JavaOne full conference packages. You may also contact the Oracle OpenWorld help desk for assistance

(contact information below).

Q: How do I cancel my registration?

A: All cancellations must be received in writing, either by fax or e-mail. Cancellation notices can be faxed

to +1.512.813.2402 or e-mailed to [email protected] or [email protected]

  Full refund: Cancellations must be received by August 8, 2014, 5:00 p.m. (PT).

  50% refund: Cancellations must be received between August 8 after 5:00 p.m. (PT) and August

29, 2014, 5:00 p.m. (PT).

  No refunds will be given for cancellations received after August 29, 2014, 5:00 p.m. (PT).

Refund policy does not apply to packages with no registration fees. Cancellation of travel reservations

and hotel reservations are the exclusive responsibility of the registrant. All cancellations must be

received by e-mail or fax. Refunds will not be given to attendees who do not pick up their badgecredentials onsite. Note: if your visa application is denied and you choose to cancel your Oracle

OpenWorld registration, you still need to adhere to the Cancellation Policy deadlines listed above.

Registration Add-On packages are subject to the cancellation dates and policies above. Additionally, the

following conditions also apply:

  Refunds will not be given if the Add-On package has been opened or accessed

  Refunds will not be given for Add-On package conference materials if those materials are picked

up onsite

Oracle reserves the right to refuse registration or admission to anyone for any reason. If Oracle cancels

your registration, Oracle will provide a full refund.

Q: How do I substitute my registration for someone else?

A: Substitutions must be e-mailed to the Oracle OpenWorld or JavaOne registration team at

[email protected] or [email protected] with the names of both the original and substitute

registrants. All requests for substitutions must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. (PT) on September

26, 2014. Onsite substitutions will incur a $100 USD processing fee.

Q: How can I find information about housing and booking a hotel room?

A: Please refer to Oracle San Francisco Housing Portal or the Oracle San Francisco Housing FAQ . 

Q: Where can I find agenda details?

A: A schedule of events can be found on the Oracle OpenWorld Website or JavaOne Website. 

Q: What and when is the Oracle OpenWorld conference?

A: The JavaOne conference brings together Java experts and enthusiasts for an extraordinary week of

Q: How do I get a copy of my receipt/invoice?

A: When you registered, a copy of your invoice was attached to the e-mail you were sent. You can also

access My Account where you will be able to view and print your receipt/invoice, along with having

access to your registration and housing information to update if necessary.

Q: Can I bring my spouse and/or children*?

A: Yes. A guest pass can be purchased in conjunction with an Oracle OpenWorld or JavaOne full-

conference pass, and cannot be purchased on its own or in conjunction with a Discover pass.

*Please note: Anyone under the age of 21 will not be able to attend the Oracle Appreciation Event.

Anyone under the age of 18 cannot attend any program or activity at Oracle OpenWorld or JavaOne. If

you’re a student and interested in attending, details will be posted on the conference website soon.

Q: I am not familiar with San Francisco. Where can I get information for my visit?

A: Please visit the official city of San Francisco website San Francisco Travel. 

Q: Whom should I contact if I have special dietary needs and/or allergies?

A: Oracle prepares for attendees with many dietary requirements and we will make an effort to

accommodate any special request. We cannot guarantee the ability to fulfill every appeal that diverges

from standard special needs, (vegetarian, vegan, gluten/diary-free, etc.). Special meals are available on

a first come, first served basis and some meals might be limited in quantity. When you arrive in the

lunch area make your request known to a server and they will review available dietary options.

Q: Whom should I contact if I require special assistance (wheelchair or other special access, hearing

impaired, or sight impaired)?

A: You will be able to indicate the need for any special assistance during the registration process.

Contact information for these services is also provided within the registration process. If you’ve already

registered you can access My Account and update that profile question, or you can contact the Oracle

OpenWorld or JavaOne help desk and we will update your registration record for you and provide youwith information for specific vendors who can assist with your needs onsite.

Q: Will I need to wear my badge at Oracle OpenWorld or JavaOne?

A: Yes, you will need to wear your badge at all times. Your badge cannot be given to or shared with

another attendee or the badge will be confiscated and you will be asked to leave the event.

If you have access to the Oracle Appreciation Event, you will be given a wristband before the event that

you must wear to the event.

If you lose your badge while onsite, visit any of the registration desks for assistance. There will be a $75

USD fee to print a replacement badge.

Q: Does Oracle have any air travel/ground transportation partners for the conference?

A: Yes. We will have information posted soon to the Oracle OpenWorld and JavaOne transportation

pages.
