2014 livestock intern Kalyn Williams is from Waldron, Arkansas. She majors in Ag Business and Animal Science
as a junior at Arkansas Tech.
She is writing a paper on how
rotational grazing affects herd health.
She grew up on a cattle ranch, and hopes to have a small cattle and horse farm in the
future.
2014 horticulture intern Connor
McClelland is from San Diego, California.
He is a senior soil science major at Kansas State.
During his internship, he is experimenting
with different intercropping methods...
...as well as with with different soil
amendments for alternative means of
soil fertility.
After graduation, he will take a shipment of donated tools to Haiti, where he will work to
help train Haitian farmers in sustainable
agriculture.
