MESSAGE FROM THEGENERAL MANAGER
Dear Mr. Benson, It is with great pleasure that we present the fiscal year 2013 / 2014 Annual Report to you and the City of Enid team. Our relationship is un-matched as we look around all of our clients and your support is what has allowed these facilities and our team to maximize their potential to what we saw during this fiscal year. With both Enid Event Center and Convention Hall at full functionality, we were able to showcase the flexibility of the spaces and the diversity of event mix possible with the 359 events hosted during this fiscal year. Even with the increase in number of events, the level at which our team services our clients and guests has remained our focus and well received. Based on our survey results we received very high marks in all categories including: Staff (4.85 / 5.00), Food and Beverage (4.77 / 5.00), Facility (4.78/5.00), and Overall Rating (4.80/5.00). We leveraged the resources available to bring world class entertainment to Enid including:
• 9 concerts, spanning multiple genres, including sold out / high profile performances by Darius Rucker and our 1st Year Anniversary performer Reba
• New Shows / Events: Enid PBR Challenge, George Carden Circus, Battlegrounds MMA, Sesame Street Live, Extreme Rodeo Challenge, and more!
• 2 State Conventions in the Oklahoma Museums Association and PEO Sisterhood Conference along with several smaller Association meetings
• Countless local social events / banquets that showcase our ability to cater to every size event and make the facilities accessible to the entire community
With the impending construction of the new Hilton Garden Inn, along with continued building of our regional audience and several large scale concerts already booked – we have great optimism regarding FY15. We appreciate all of the continued support from the City of Enid and we look forward to FY15. Keller Taylor General Manager Enid Event Center and Convention Hall, Global Spectrum managed facilities

Keller, Kara, Chelsi and Chef James,
Thank you for making it possible for us to house our Girl’s
Tea Event in your beautiful convention hall ballroom. What a
special treat for all the 7th grade girls of Garfield County. You
treated us with kindness and were very helpful in our efforts
to create a special event for our young people. Chef James the
food was perfect! I was very pleased and grateful.

VISIT ENID ACCOMPLISHMENTS
ENID WELCOME CENTER HAS A NEW HOMEWith the impending demolition of the Cherokee Strip Conference Center and attached Kress Building, Visit Enid was in need of new office space and a new Welcome Center. The City of Enid completely renovated the inside of the former Junior Welfare League Return Engagement Building at 201 W Owen K. Garriott Rd., relocating the Welcome Center four blocks south onto Highway 412, the main East-West artery through Enid. The move on July 16, 2013 took just one day, and an open house and ribbon cutting for the new Enid Welcome Center was held July 30, 2013.
ENID SELECTED TO BE A DESTINATION CITY FOR 2014 FIREBALL RUNVisit Enid learned in July, 2013 that it was being considered as a destination city in the 2014 Fireball Run, an Internet-based reality show seen in 2012 by 1.7M unique visitors. Fireball Run is best described as Trivial Pursuit meets The Amazing Race, and teams along the 2,000 mile route raise awareness for America’s missing children by distributing posters of missing children from their area. Once Enid was officially selected, Visit Enid hosted three site visits and worked closely with the Fireball Run staff to establish local locations and tasks for the teams to complete. Enid will be part of Fireball Run Season 8: America’s Frontier on Sept. 30, 2014.
OKLAHOMA MUSEUMS ASSOCIATION BRINGS ITS ANNUAL CONFERENCE TO CONVENTION HALLThanks to the joint efforts of the Global Spectrum teams from the Enid Event Center and Convention Hall and Visit Enid, as well as other community partners, the Oklahoma Museums Association brought its 2013 Annual Fall Conference: Connecting to Museums to Convention Hall in September. The OMA president said Enid was awarded the conference due to the renovation of Convention Hall and the construction of Enid Event Center as well as many other city attractions. Close to 200 people from around Oklahoma made it to Enid for the three-day conference.
ENID CONTEST WITH TRAVELOK.COM SETS RECORDWith May being National Tourism Month, Visit Enid and TravelOK.com, Oklahoma’s offi-cial tourism website, joined forces to create a month-long contest on the TravelOK website and Facebook page for an Enid prize package which included tickets to Scooby-Doo Live at Enid Event Center, dining and lodging for two nights and passes to Enid attractions. The contest ran for 30 days from mid-April through mid-May and the contest gathered 10,990 entries, which at the time was a record number of entries for any TravelOK.com Facebook contest. The winner was from Edmond, Okla., a suburb of Oklahoma City, and Mom, Dad and their two children enjoyed a fun weekend in Enid.
