Dear Friends of Penmen Athle cs,

On behalf of all the student-athletes, coaches and athle c staff that bleed Penmen Pride, I want to thank you for your support this past year. We are pleased to present to you our 2014-15 Year in Review. In reviewing this publica on, you will see that we eclipsed last year’s success and once again have posted the most successful year in SNHU Athle cs. This is affi rmed by our 75th-place fi nish in the Learfi eld Sports Directors’ Cup standings, our highest fi nish ever. We also had, for the fi rst me in our history, four teams na onally ranked in the top 20 with men’s soccer, men’s basketball, baseball and so ball. We had numerous individual and team success this year including: fi ve NCAA tournament teams, fi ve Northeast-10 tles, six All-Americans, 26 All-Region players, six NE-10 Major Award winners and 54 NE-10 All-Conference honorees. We also had three Northeast-10 Conference Coaches of the Year in Greg Coache (women’s tennis), Stan Spirou (men’s

basketball) and Deb Robitaille (so ball).

However, what I really want to share with you is our overwhelming accomplishments in the classroom. This past season our team GPA’s jumped from 3.11 to 3.24. We had over 88% of the student-athletes receive a 3.00 GPA or higher in one semester and we received the NE-10 Academic Excellence Award in three sports (women’s basketball, hockey and men’s cross country). Individually we had fi ve Academic All-Americans and in total, 14 of Southern New Hampshire’s 17 varsity sports (82.4%) that compete in the Northeast-10 posted at least a 3.0 team GPA in the 2014-15 academic year. Seven of those 14 registered above a 3.30.

I also would like to share with you my thanks for your support. We undertook a new fundraising ini a ve called “Crowd Funding” and tested it out on three teams, volleyball, baseball and men’s lacrosse. We successfully reached the fundraising goal for each of these teams and it is a credit to the tremendous support of alumni, family and friends of the programs. Keep on the look out for your favorite team’s fundraiser coming soon and if you can help we would love to have you be a part of it.

Enjoy reading the many achievements from this past year. It was a banner year in the classroom and on the fi eld of compe on. The credit goes to the dedicated student-athletes and their coaches. A great deal of me and hard work is needed to produce success like we have. I am proud to be a Penmen and I hope you feel a sense of pride in our accomplishments as you read this review. As always without your support we could not reach the success we have.

Thank you and see you at a game soon.

Sincerely, Anthony Fallacaro Director of Athle cs and Recrea on
