Westport Library ExpansionSchematic DesignYear: 2013-14 Employer: HMA2 Architects
A renovation and expansion aims to transform Westport Library into an architecturally uplifting destination worthy of its powerhouse
community. Due to its insuffi cient and ineffi cient spaces, many are currently turned away from the library’s popular events and
experiences. The new design not only addresses practical issues of access and operation, but also engages the park and river setting with
open views and inviting extensions of indoor and outdoor spaces. (Excerpt from HMA2 Website)

Library of VirginiaRFP > Concept Design Year: 2013-14 Employer: HMA2 Architects
The Library of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, manages the most comprehensive collection of materials on Virginia government, history, and
culture. Consequently, it has become the hub for genealogists around the country. While the current building is relatively new - 1997, it is
seen as an unwelcoming space and fails to attract the energy of downtown Richmond. The goal is therefore two pronged: to fi rstly create a
vibrant public space for downtown Richmond, and secondly to foster the activities relating to genealogical studies.

Richards Medical Center RenovationSchematic phase for renovation of a building designed by Louis KahnYear: 2012 Employer: EYP
Designed by Louis Kahn, The Richards Medical Research Laboratories is confi gured as a group of laboratory towers with a central service tower. Currently in schematic design phase, one aspect I was involved in was the design of a custom chilled beam system and offi ce layout that would accomodate adjacencies to the existing exposed concrete verendal truss system.Drawings produced using Revit, renderings of concept designs produced using 3ds Max.

NYU College of Nursing & Silver 7Construction Documents & RenderingYear: 2012 Employer: EYP
Located on First Avenue at East 26th Street, along what is known as Manhattan’s health corridor, the new facility is part of
the NYU’s expansion plans dubbed NYU 2031. My role initially involved creating interior lab elevations, casework tagging,
and interior casework details. I also produced an interior lab rendering (seen below). Nearing the 100% CD deadline, I was
involved in correcting red-lines, and working with the project director to produce details using Revit.

Year: 2012 l Tutor: Sabine Muller + Lily Chi l Group Partner: Michael Robert Cabrera
The studio project site is Berlin. Widely known as an open city, the German capital is cheap, vacant and full of possibilities.
Through our investigations, the city can be characterized by a culture of in-between usages and micro-practices. It is also
a city that has a very high unemployment rate and whose economic future relies on creative start-ups. Consequently
our primary inquiry is how can Berlin’s physical porosity evolve into a fi eld of continuous openness and socially negotiated opportunities?

Cities of Exacerbated Diff érance:Haizhu Cape and the Urban Regeneration in the Pearl River DeltaYear: Thesis 2010 l Thesis Supervisor: Dr. Manfredo Manfredini
The critical shift from an economy of production to a knowledge based economy implies a further harshening of the PRD
and its blooming territorial disruption, consequently requiring a new, radical form of urbanity and infrastructure capable
of supporting the emerging innovation network and recombining local material and immaterial resources.
