Provet AG celebrates its 40th Anniversary !From sole agency for veterinary products to leading

full-service provider within four decades !Lyssach/Switzerland, May 23, 2014 Provet AG, the leading distributor of medical products and supplier of veterinary services to practicing veterinarians in Switzerland is celebrating its 40th anniversary today. The company invited federal, cantonal and communal authorities, government representative, the Swiss veterinary office, Swissmedic, ALP, representatives of both Vet-Suisse faculties and long-standing suppliers to join them in their celebrations at the companys headquarters in Lyssach, in the Canton of Bern. !Provet AG was founded in 1974 by Jean-Claude von Gunten. The company started its operation with a team of just four employees and exclusive distribution rights for Switzerland for Bayer animal health products. Bayer remains a valuable supplier partner to Henry Schein. !Over the years, new product divisions and exclusive distribution agreements with world famous companies have gradually been added. As a result of diversifying at an early stage and continuously developing its range of products and services, Provet AG has developed into todays modern and dynamic company. Great importance has always been placed on combining traditional and established methods with progress and the latest technologies. !Nowadays, Provet AG supplies the Swiss veterinary profession with pharmaceutical and biological products, instruments and practice equipment, medical equipment, medical supplies, diagnostic products and premium food for dogs and cats. From its warehouse with a storage capacity of up to 5000 pallets, Provet is able to promise its customers delivery within 24 hours. Overall, the company sells more than 6000 products from leading manufacturers as well as a wide range of high-quality own-label products. !Provet offers its customers a wide range of services from individual consultation to education and training for veterinarians and their practice staff. As a center of excellence for training, up to 25 in-house seminars for veterinarians and veterinary assistants with expert speakers from home and abroad are offered annually since 1988 in the modern seminar room in Lyssach. !Nowadays, the Provet Group employs approx. 140 staff, of which eleven are veterinarians in various positions, in order to meet the challenges posed by the broad range of medical products and services in a competent manner and to maintain a professional dialogue with veterinarians. !Customer satisfaction is top priority in all our activities, this is how Patrick von Gunten, CEO of Provet AG explains the corporate credo.
