    RECREATION PROGRAMREGISTRATION

    1. Program registrations are now being accepted,Monday through Friday, at the City of Salem PublicWorks Department, 555 Liberty Street SE Room 325,8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Phone: 503-588-6261. Registrationis on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registrationis encouraged and persons are not consideredregistered until fees are paid in full.

    Online registration is available for Jordan Kent SkillsCamps at www.jordankentcamps.com, for SkyhawksCamps at www.skyhawks.com, and for U.K.International Soccer Camps at www.uksocca.com.

    2. The City reserves the right to cancel programswhen minimum enrollment is not met. Minimumenrollment is eight students one week before theprogram start date.

    3. Full refunds are issued when programs arecanceled. Refunds requested before the first day ofprogram will be reimbursed half the registration feeRefunds requested after the first day of programswill not be granted.

    NEW! All Comer Track MeetsThese popular meets are back and provide all participantsan opportunity to compete in a fun recreational atmosphere!

    Designed for your child to perform to the best of their ability,develop sportsmanship, foster friendship, and most importantly,have fun. Volunteers needed and gladly welcomed! To

    Ages 13 and Under, $4/event or$15/meet

    Mini SoccerKick back and enjoy the beautiful summer evenings on the

    soccer field! Each week, participants will be led throughactivities emphasizing soccer in a fun, informal setting.

    Evenings will end with a mini game giving participants the

    chance to show off their skills!Ages 34 (with an adult), $38 per participant

    Ages 57, $42 per participant

    Basketball and Soccer CampsA positive, introductory sports experience regardless of

    abilities! Girls and boys will build self-confidence, learn andimprove sports skills, learn teamwork and sportsmanship,and make new friends.

    Summer Parks ProgramLet your child play outdoors in a safe, fun environmentsupervised and led by amazing recreation staff! Eachweek boasts a playful new theme and encourages

    participants to use their imaginations as they design acarnival, host the Olympics, think like a spy, and more!

    NEW! Skyhawks CampsWe are proud to partner with Skyhawks to offer multiplecamps this summer! All participants need to wear the

    appropriate athletic shoes, plus bring a water bottle and snack.

    A shirt is included in the price of the camp.

    Flag Football, Volleyball, Track & FieldAges 712, $99 per participant/camp

    LacrosseAges 712, $89 per participant/camp

    FLAG FOOTBALLThe perfect introduction to "America's Game." Camperslearn skills on both sides of the football including the corecomponents of passing, catching, and defense. The week

    finishes with the Skyhawks Sports Bowl!

    LACROSSE

    Athletes will learn all the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling

    passing, and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment.Participants need to supply a mouthpiece. Protective gloves, a

    helmet with full mask, and a lacrosse stick will be provided.

    VOLLEYBALLFundamental skills are taught through game-speed drills and dailyscrimmages that focus on passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Thiscoed program is designed for beginner and intermediate players.

    Campers need to supply their own knee pads.

    TRACK & FIELDSkyhawks Track & Field combines technical development,fundamental techniques, and safety with a major focus on fun!Using special equipment, our staff cover the fundamentals ofbody positioning, stride, proper stretching, and cool-downtechniques. Participants put it all together for one fun-filled dayat the Skyhawks track meet!

    Tennis10 & Under QuickStart TennisWould you start a 7 year old on a full size soccer field? Why

    start them on a full size tennis court? QuickStart tennis haschanged the size of the courts, racquets, and balls. Now it iseven easier to start playing tennis!

    1117 TennisCome out and play! This fun and fast-moving program isgreat for beginning and intermediate players. Participantswill work on the 6 basic strokes and gain confidence in theirnew-found abilities by ending each day in match play.

    NEW! Jordan Kent Skills CampJoin us for a week that will change your child's l ife! Pickone sport for your child to focus onbasketball, football,

    or soccer. Our Skills Camp will educate and encourageyour child to set goals, work towards them, and achieve

    them, while improving their skills on/off the field. Asnack, nutrition education, contests, and life skills lessonprovided daily along with a camp shirt.

    Salem Parks Spray FountainsNeed a free, fun, cool activity for the kids thissummer? Try one of the many spray fountains in

    City of Salem Parks. Not only do these sites providewater activity that's fun for hours, but they haveplaygrounds too! The following self-operating spray

    fountains are open every day beginning June 14:
