EQUIPMENT SIZING GUIdEProper fit. It’s a really simple concept but very hard to do right. Above all, proper fit is paramount for protective equipment. Without this quality, risk of injury and discomfort greatly increase. With so many catchers of different shapes and sizes, it is a must that we develop gear which can be individually customized to ensure proper fit. Our gear works with the player, not against. With fit properly dialed in, a player can direct all focus to the game and not a chest protector which keeps dropping too low.

CHEST PROTECTOR SIZING + FITTING:

All-Star® chest protectors are measured from the top of the sternum to a players naval.

Depending on chest protector model, All-Star® chest protectors are available in 9, 13, 14.5, 15.5, and 16.5 inch lengths. If the player measures in between chest protector lengths it is recommended to se-lect the longer length.

The chest protector should fit high, with the throat guard over the base of the neck.

Because the DeltaFlex™ harness is adjustable in 4 different locations you can dial in a fit that is perfect for you.

For the most accurate sizing, it is recommended to use the players hat size, found by measuring the circumference of the player’s head, and then using the chart to the left to figure out recommended model / size.

LEG GUARd SIZING + FITTING:

Best done while seated, measure from center of player’s knee cap to the top of the players cleats.

Depending on leg guard mod-el, All-Star® leg guards are available in 10.5, 11.5, 12.5, 13, 14.5, 15.5, and 16.5 inch lengths. If the player measures in between leg guard lengths it is recommended to select the longer length.

Remember, on our Pro Se-ries and System Seven™ leg guards, please adjust both sides of the DeltaFlex™ harness for the best fit. DeltaFlex™ har-ness should cradle the back of the calf muscle, lining up cen-tered down the back of the calf.

The Super Light cage is made of a light weight hollow steel I-BAR VISION™ wire. The cage is very durable, but the titanium cage can take much more abuse over numerous seasons.

The System Seven™ designed MVP2500 series masks are recommended for college through youth catching and umpiring. The helmet features an I-BAR VISION™ steel cage, a high impact resistant ABS plastic shell with increased forehead thickness, a backplate designed to keep the snaps on, and a breath-able 3D mesh padding liner.

I-BAR VISION™ STEEL:

The MVP2500 series and MVP2400 mask is outfit-

ted with an I-BAR VISION™ steel cage. The bars

on the cage around the eye openings are flatter for

increased range of view and to make the bars stron-

ger. Instead of using a round steel wire, the I-BAR

VISION™ cages utilize a flat bar which is compa-

rable to an I-Beam used in building construction.

QUICK TIP:With the padding designed to be easily removed for washing, replacement padding can also be pur-chased separately (page 69).

Having a second set of padding is ideal when one set is in the wash or for hot summer double headers. Simply swap the padding between games or innings.

Exclusive to the MVP4000, MVP2500, & MVP2400 series masks, the snaps on the back of the helmet are designed to stay on.

Each strap runs under a “bridge” which makes it impossible to pull off the buckle.

Even if the snaps come undone, the built in bridges will not allow the buckle to pass through. The straps also flow over the edges of the back plate, rather than through it, to keep the straps from snagging your ears when the mask is pulled on and off.

MACHINE WASHABLE PAddINGThe padding can be machine washed with a mild detergent and should be left to air dry. Pad-ding is treated with the AEGIS Microbe Shield® to help prevent any bacterial or mildew growth. AEGIS Microbe Shield® is permanent for the life of the product and does not wash out.

QUICK TIP:Replacement padding can also be purchased. Lots of athletes choose to have a second back up set for when one liner set is in the wash, or for game days with double headers. Changing the pads between games will feel like putting on a brand new mask.

Unique to All-Star®, all of our chest protectors have internal and moldable P.E. plastic plates embedded in the collar bone, throat, and sternum for added protection.

The P.E. plates are lightweight, but when impacted, help protect the athlete from foul balls, blocking, and home plate collisions.

On top of that, they are also moldable. This means that curving the shoulders of the chest protector will improve the fit, as the chest protector will hang on the player, wrapping up and over the shoulders, keeping the throat guard high and in place.

QUICK TIP: ROLL IT UP!A great way to store your chest protector is to roll it up as it will help mold the internal collarbone PE plates to be curved up and over your shoulders.

To keep the chest protector securely rolled up, tuck it inside a leg guard and use the DeltaFlex™ har-ness to secure it in place.

LIGHTWEIGHT dURABILITYWhen designing the System Seven™ LG30PROs, we took note of the areas which take the most abuse, such as the knees, and made the plastic thicker to withstand more abuse. Perforated padding allows the legs to breath while at the same time reduce the overall weight of the leg guards. MOLdABLE PROTECTIONThe shin plates have 10 ventilation ports and have been designed to be cus-tomizable. The plastic is moldable, meaning that if you like wearing them snug, you can squeeze the walls and bring them in. If you like them loose and more breathable, flex the shin plate outward.

The DeltaFlex™ harnesses found on our traditional face masks, chest protec-tors, and leg guards are designed to comfortably secure a catcher’s equipment in place.

The DeltaFlex™ face mask harness, which comes with all traditional style catch-er’s facemasks, cups a catcher’s skull cap. The inside material is sticky so that it grips the skull cap well and keeps the mask from shifting. Chest protector DeltaFlex™ harnesses are constructed using 4 adjustable loca-tions (two by the shoulders & two by the hips) which run into a stretchy neoprene triangle which is designed to stretch and move with the player. With the 4 point adjustability, dialing in the correct fit is a cinch.

For the leg guards, the DeltaFlex™ harness cradles the back of the calf muscle. Adjustable in 6 locations which filter into a neoprene band, the DeltaFlex™ har-ness provides a secure fit where the straps never uncomfortably dig in. By design, top straps are pre-crossed to keep them out of the back of the knee crease.

Compared to other fielding masks on the market, the horizontal bar is much lower, which makes the field of view feel huge! This is perfect for pitchers who look through the lower part of the mask or for fielders tracking ground balls.

LIGHTWEIGHT & WASHABLEThe forehead and chin padding can be removed for washing. To wash, simply use soap and water. The harness can be machine washed with a mild amount of detergent and then left to air dry.

Exclusive to the MVP4000, MVP2500, & MVP2400 series masks, the snaps on the back of the helmet are designed to stay on.

Each strap runs under a “bridge” which makes it impossible to pull off the buckle.

Even if the snaps come undone, the built in bridges will not allow the buckle to pass through. The straps also flow over the edges of the back plate, rather than through it, to keep the straps from snagging your ears when the mask is pulled on and off.
