ESF Events are delighted to announce the launch of the RHINOS CHALLENGE - a new 9’s rugby league festival for U8 – U14 teams. The Festival, which is supported by Leeds Rhinos and staged at Butlins Skegness, is set to become one of the most prestigious events of its kind in the UK.

Going on tour provides a rare and exciting opportunity for your players, coaches and supporters to build team spirit, morale and identity. The Rhinos Challenge is an experience that everyone involved in is sure to remember for years and years.

The Rhinos Challenge is staged at Butlins award winning Resort in Skegness on the Lincolnshire coastline in May 2013. With superb onsite facilities, great evening entertainment and quality accommodation, Butlins is the perfect venue to host a family based rugby league festival.

The Rhinos Challenge is a professionally organised weekend festival that will bring together U8 - U14 teams

from all over the UK for a fantastic weekend of rugby.

Every aspect of the game, its safety and ethos will be upheld to the highest

standards and the Festival will be organised in accordance with the

guidelines of the RFL.

Participating teams will have the opportunity to compete against clubs

from different areas of the UK. The group stages of the Festival will take place on the

Saturday with the fi nal group standings determining whether teams go on to

compete in the Rhinos Challenge Finalsor Plate competition on the Sunday.

Our spectacular celebrity presentation ceremony will be the highlight of the

tour for many teams. Butlins add the razzmatazz with dramatic sound and

lighting effects and we top it off with top celebrities, quality trophies and awards for

every player - it’s the perfect way to end the Festival and is a night to remember for

everyone involved.

The Rhinos Challenge is organised and staged by ESF Events Ltd, in partnership

with Leeds Rhinos. ESF Events are the UK’s leading youth sport event organisers

and are the only company trusted by Butlins to stage youth rugby festivals at

their superb Resorts.

In 2013, Butlins Skegness will be opening an ultra

modern £13m Water Park which will be ready in time for

the Festival. There’ll be a new outside splash play area with

fountains that will turn into a water display after dark. Inside there’ll be

The Apartments at Butlins are idealfor families, providing everyone with

enough space to relax in comfort. With separate lounge and kitchen areas, 2 or 3

bedrooms and bathroom, the apartments are fully equipped with everything you

could need on tour.

For those of you who don’t fancy feeding everyone, Butlins half board package

could be a great choice. Following a multi million pound investment in their kitchens

and restaurants, Butlins half board option is now an extremely popular choice for

teams on tour with ESF Events. Half board includes a full English breakfast and a

3 course evening meal. There’s a great range of food on offer and you can go

back for more as many times as you like! 1, 2 and 3 bedroom half board Rooms are

available in the Standard and Silver grade. Apartments are also available with the

Half Board option.

Don’t forget, included with your accommodation booking are full

entertainment passes which give youfree entry to the premier evening

entertainment venues, the Water Park with fl umes, rides and slides, and entry to the

HOW TO BOOK 1. Make a Provisional Booking - Call ESF Events and we will reserve your team a place for 2 weeks free of charge.

2. Register Your Club - Complete and return the Club Registration Form with the Registration Deposit of £250 per age group. You will then be sent a receipt of entry pack which includes your Accommodation Booking Form. The £250 deposit will be taken off your final Accommodation Balance.

3. Book Accommodation - Complete and return your Accommodation Booking Form with Accommodation Deposit of £25 per person. Butlins will then acknowledge your accommodation booking and notify you of the final balance due.

4. Pay Final Balance - The final balance of your booking will be due 8 weeks before the Festival.

FESTIVAL FORMAT Friday - No rugby is played on the day of arrival.Accommodation units will be available from 4pm but teams can arrive on resort from Midday and use the facilities at Butlins. There will be a full evening entertainment programme on the Friday. Our welcome meeting for coaches and party leaders will take place on Friday evening.

Saturday & Sunday - The group stages of the Festival will take place on the Saturday with the final group standings determining whether teams go on to compete in the Rhinos Challenge Finals or Plate competition on the Sunday. The festival format may vary depending on the number of teams registered in each age group. The celebrity presentation ceremony will take place on the Sunday evening.

Monday - Monday is the departure day. Check out of accommodation is 10.00am but you do not have to leave the resort until Midday giving you the chance to have a last trip to the Water Park or the Fairground.

TEAM ENTRY FEES There are no Team Entry Fees to enter the Rhinos Challenge. All costs involved with staging the Festival are included in the accommodation charges.

WRISTBANDS You will be allocated one wristband for each member of your party booked through ESF Events. Please be aware that people without a wristband will not be able to participate in the Festival, attend the presentation ceremony or enter evening entertainment venues at the holiday centre.

ACCOMMODATION IMPORTANT: Accommodation for your whole party, including players, families, coaches and supporters, must be booked through ESF Events. Anyone not doing so will not be permitted to participate in the Festival or attend the presentation ceremony. The only exception to this is ‘local’ teams who are invited to participate in the Festival to ensure the best possible format in each age group. Accommodation will be allocated strictly on a first-come first-served basis. If you select a particular size or grade of accommodation which is no longer available, you will be offered the nearest alternative. Accommodation will always be available once your registration has been accepted but we cannot guarantee your first choice of accommodation. The ‘child’ rate is for ages 2-14 years at Butlins. Infants under the age of 2 years are free of charge if you bring your own cot or you can hire a cot at a charge of £10. MINIMUM OCCUPANCY OF UNITS Half board room prices are based on a minimum of 2 paying guests sharing a unit. Half board apartment prices are based on a minimum of 4 paying guests sharing a unit. Self catering prices are based on a minimum of 4 paying guests sharing an apartment.

MINIMUM OCCUPANCY SUBSIDIES In cases where minimum occupancy is not reached as detailed above, a full subsidy will be charged. The minimum occupancy does not include infants under the age of 2 years.

SUPERVISION: ADULT TO CHILD RATIOS At least one responsible adult over the age of 21 must occupy each unit of accommodation. A minimum adult to child ratio of 1 to 2 is required for your party by Butlins.

INSURANCE The Rhinos Challenge 2013 is covered for ‘Public Liability’ insurance by ESF Events. However, this does not cover individual teams or ‘person to person’ public liability, personal accident or injury whilst attending the Festival. We strongly recommend that all participating teams, if they are not already covered, should take out insurance cover for these risks. We also strongly recommend all members of your party take out appropriate holiday insurance.

CANCELLATION If you cancel your booking due to illness, accident or change of circumstances, and if you have taken insurance cover, payments for accommodation arising from the cancellation may be covered. Registration Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations. As soon as you know that you need to cancel you must call ESF Events on 01664 566360. Cancellation charges are calculated from the day ESF Events receive written instructions to cancel a booking.Please see the table below:

EVENT ORGANISERS The Rhinos Challenge is organised and staged by ESF Events Ltd (Company Registration Number 7695303)

BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT WHILE ON TOUR It is the responsibility of the Group Leader and adults in the party to ensure the behaviour of all members of your party is acceptable at all times at the Festival. Clubs will be charged for any damages caused by members of their party. In extreme cases of unacceptable behaviour, the Resort Management & ESF Events reserve the right to terminate a holiday whereby part or all of a team/club may be required to leave the premises without refund.

FORCE MAJEUR We do not accept liability for any loss, damage or expense arising from a change or cancellation to your tour which occurs due to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control and that of our suppliers. Such events would include, for example, war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, pandemics, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, fire or adverse weather conditions, natural or nuclear disaster, decisions of the RFL or similar events beyond our control.

BROCHURE ACCURACY To the best of our knowledge, all information in this brochure is accurate at the time of print. Please be aware that there may be occasions when the facilities listed in this brochure are modified or unavailable due to factors beyond our control.

DATA PROTECTION ESF Events will use the personal information that you provide to process your booking and provide your tour. We may also need to pass your information to third party service providers such as Butlins. It is your responsibility to inform members of your party what information about them you are providing, and what we will use it for.

FINANCIAL PROTECTION As a member of the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT), ESF Events Ltd has provided a bond to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

In the event of ESF Events Ltd’s insolvency, protection is provided for non-flight packages commencing in and returning to the UK and other non-flight packages excluding pre arranged travel to and from your destination. Please note that packages booked outside the UK are only protected when purchased directly with ESF Events Ltd. For the avoidance of doubt, accommodation payments for Butlins’ resorts where payment is made directly to Butlins are not covered by the membership.

In the above circumstances, if you have not yet travelled you may claim a refund, or if you have already travelled, you may claim repatriation to the starting point of your non-flight package.
