Survey Results

Surety Systems developed the 2013 Kronos Technology Survey

to allow the Kronos customers to compare their experience and

thoughts to others in the large Kronos Community. This survey

reports the results of 160+ Kronos clients. It aims to serve as a

benchmark for the Kronos community as a whole. This year’s

survey explores topics ranging from level of satisfaction to how

companies are utilizing the Kronos product. The survey’s results are

presented both graphically and in summary form within this report.

Data was collected during a three week period in September. Our survey

was open to all participants through our website, www.suretysystems.com

and we encouraged participation with email invitations.

Over 160 individuals participated in this survey. All participants

live and work in the United States for companies who

currently utilize the Kronos product.

Observations by Surety Systems

• Kronos Survey Participants have a Strong Level of Experience. Over 73% of this year’s survey

participants have over 5 years of experience with the Kronos product.

• Kronos Customers are satisfied with the Kronos product. 76.3% of Kronos customer survey

participants rated their satisfaction level of the Kronos product at 7 or higher on a scale of 1-10

and 59.5% of respondents rated 8-10.

• The Greater Majority of Customers are on a 6.x version. 70.4% of participants report that

they are currently using version 6.1 (released February 2009), 6.2 (released September 2010), or

6.3 (released November 2011). Interestingly, 13.4% of respondents are still on Kronos version 5

(released March 2004).

• Customers are Upgrading. Over 51% of Kronos customers participating in the survey state that

their organization is currently upgrading or will upgrade their version of Kronos within the next

year. This statistic is one indicator of a strong adoption of the most recent release, Kronos

version 7, released in June 2013.

• Customers use Kronos Services and other external support to help manage their Kronos

System. Over 62.6% of participants report that they use Kronos Services and 46.5% report they

use consulting and staffing firms to help support their Kronos.

• Kronos Customers Do Not Attend User Group Meetings. 56.9% of survey participants state

they do not attend Kronos User Group meetings. An additional 17.7% state they are not aware

of user groups.
