IMEA DIVISION INFORMATION
ILMEA SPRING NEWSLETTER
District 5 Music Educators: I hope this newsletter finds
your school year ending with fantastic final performances!
Contained in this District 5
newsletter is all of the information currently available
auditions and festivals. All of our guest conductors,
except two, are under contract and working with our division representatives to make sure our 2013 Festivals are a success.
If you are retiring or leaving
your position at the conclusion of the school year, please leave a note for whoever follows you explaining about ILMEA and our
process. A copy of this newsletter would be great to help any new director hit the ground running and be ready to participate.
In closing, it has been a
rough Spring for some school districts. I have had many calls and emails from music educators who were RIFed or their program cut deep or completely. These are truly tough times, but I believe that it will get better.
Finish strong, get some
much needed R&R and I look forward to working with you all in the Fall!
Musically,
Chris Gunn President, ILMEA District 5
