Welcome to the High Standards Female Sale. This sale is a big event for our operation every year. There are countless hours that go into this sale every year, not just washing, blowing, and presenting them but also the genetic selection. This detail on genetic selection is what aids our customers by providing the most profitable genetics possible. Our customers are what make our operation function and without them we would not be able to do what we love. At JSC we strive to keep our customers profitable, by raising good stock, as you will see in this offering the cattle purchased from us have gone on to produce some truly impressive individuals. As many of you know we have been hosting two sales each year, the High Standards & the Bull & Bred Heifer Sale. This year we decided to cancel our Bull & Bred Heifer sale, and thus we are offering every bred heifer for sale during the High Standards Sale. Which will make this year’s bred heifer offering the largest to date. The bulls will sell in our new sale to be held at the Ohio Beef Expo with Winegardner Show Cattle, and will be broadcast on Premier Online Sales. We will also offer a large group of bulls for sale private treaty. We would like to thank all of the past buyers from our Bull & Bred Female Sale for their support, it was a tough decision to cancel that sale but it has been very difficult to host a sale during calving season. In this year’s High Standards Sale we added a new twist. We have cut deep into the heart of the herd and are of-fering some of our best AI & donor cows. One thing my dad always said “If we are going to do something, we are going to do it right.” So we are offering some great opportunities from this group. The bred heifers are a division that we take great pride in every year, and this offering is the best and the deep-est set we have ever had. These heifers have been hand selected out of our herd as well as some of the top programs in the nation. We do believe that this is one of the most diverse and deepest sets you will find this fall. One thing we take pride in is the amount of success you, our customers, have had. From the top selling Maine bull at the 2013 Ohio Beef Expo, to a $20,000 heifer for MAC Cattle who was out of the top selling bred heifer in last years sale, as well as all of the progeny who highlight this sale. Our customers have had great success with their purchases from our program. The open heifers are the deepest and best set we have offered, in our opinion. Whether you are looking for your next Champion or future donor we feel the possibilities are endless. Customer service comes with every lot and when you buy here it is part of the deal. We are here to help you and your program in the show ring, assisting in breeding decisions as well as helping to market your cattle we will help in any way possible. We do have a large bank of embryo’s on this cow so that eases the pain. 766T has raised a donor for Jason Minneart, Kesha, that donor’s first calf produced a $20,000 heifer. 766T has raised multiple high sellers here including a $30,000 Steel Force daughter who was selected by the Grauer Family, that females first calf sells in this sale as Lot 42. At JSC we are commited to the Junior Livestock program and feel that in order for Livestock to continue to be a driving force in this country those of us producing show stock and seed stock must help to support these programs. With that in mind we are starting a Junior Incentive program to help reward the Juniors who excel with the cattle they select from us.

Terms of Eligibility... 1. Awards will be given in the form of either 1/2 cash and 1/2 sale credit or full sale credit at

The first calf born here at JSC this year and still one of our favorites. From the first hour of her life to now this one has impressed us with her overall power, balance, and eye-appeal in a sound functional, maternal package but has a cool look. Diamond 1A is a extremely hairy and unique half-blood Simmental, but still cool enough for a Mainetainer. One thing I will never understand is the formula for API. For some reason when you mate a Simmental cow with an API of 110 to a Maine bull with an API of 86 you are left with a calf of an API of 122. It may not make sense but we’ll take it.

We try to mate winners with winners not only from dam to dam but granddam to granddam. We got stuck on the Sooner x Lucky Lady wagon for awhile but it was for a good reason. When I saw Hard Whiskey on display in Denver I knew we needed to try him on Lucky Lady just because of what his mother JSC Katie 5S and granddam CKG Katie 1M has done for us and Jason Minnaert. This mating combines 3 of the best Maine Anjou females to ever walk in our pastures as well as 3 of the best bulls in the history of the breed Hard Drive, Irish Whiskey, & Strictly Business all past show sires of the year. Man did this mating work. 83A is so powerful, sexy, and sound it is just hard to make Maines that are clean and built like this. 98A is just as powerful as 83A but maybe a touch longer bodied. 106A is the little sister of the trio, she is long, flat muscled, freak necked, and as sound as you can build one.
