The Screamin’ Eagle Street Tuner provides computer-based tools that record and edit the bike’s ECM tuning tables. To optimize drivability and performance, the Street Tuner permits limited tunability within the EPA/CARB-compliant emissions range and records and displays real-time vehicle data on screen.

EnginE REmanufactuRing stEp by stEp


Just take your bike to your local Harley-Davidson® dealer. They’ll remove your engine and send it to our remanufacturing facility where highly-trained technicians will bring your engine back to life. Approximately two weeks later, your remanufac-tured engine – rebuilt, repainted, and hot-tested – is returned to your local dealer who re-installs it and gets you back on the road.

* For legal and warranty purposes, all engines will receive stock camshafts. If you have installed high-performance cams, they will not be reinstalled or returned.

gEtting staRtEdYour engine’s journey begins at your Harley-Davidson® dealership. The engine is removed from your bike and shipped in a specially-designed container to the Harley-Davidson® Reman Facility.

stEp 1: disassEmblyUpon its arrival, your engine is completely taken apart and inspected by the remanufacturing team. Engine components that can be cleaned and remanu-factured to original specifications are saved, while those not worth saving are discarded.

stEp 2: clEaning and powdER coatingAll reusable parts are cleaned, and paint is thermally removed from the cylinders and heads. Small compo-nents are cleaned with a baking soda blasting process. After inspection, parts are powder coated to original factory standards.

stEp 3: machiningOnce powder coated, these parts are machined, bored and honed to exact tolerances. Then, they are subjected to rigid specification checks. Only the components that meet our strict standards ever make it past this point.

stEp 4: REassEmblyDuring reassembly, crankcases are set, bearings are pressed and components are meticulously reassembled. All chromed and polished components are replaced with new parts, and your engine is up-graded to meet the latest specifications, while retaining its stock configuration.*

stEp 5: tEsting and finishingAfter reassembly, your engine is run through a battery of tests to ensure it performs to Harley-Davidson® standards. Upon passing these tests, your engine is awarded a one-year, unlimited mileage factory warranty. After cleaning and polishing, your engine is ready to come home.

back in thE saddlEApproximately two weeks after its journey began, your V-Twin is returned to your dealer for installation with a new lease on life and its original Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
