And even though we here live by the Gregorian calendar, I believe God is faithful to honor His Divine direction over our lives no matter where we are or the days or times over us. He often does this through the prophetic word that specifically comes through His prophets—giving us a prophetic “heads up”. All over the world, God’s prophets are receiving information and direction in order to release expectation and blessing. So, what I believe the LORD is saying for 2013 holds Divine information, direction, and expectations. As we look at the title of this prophetic word: “FLOODS * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE,” the initial thought might be that this is going to be a totally negative word. But I want to say, “No.” Rather, I believe this prophetic word goes 2-ways. And I believe the LORD is saying that 2013 will go 2-ways. Not might go 2-ways, but will go 2-ways. The Meaning of 2013 First, I always like to look at the meaning of the numbers for year ahead. In man, this would be worldly numerology based in superstition; but numbers according to the LORD always involve and reveal in some way, His plans and purposes. According to the Bible, God’s Word, numbers have meaning. In 2013, we find the number 13. We all know that according to the world, the number 13 is one of superstition. Unfortunately, even outside of superstition 13 does not have a good meaningeven according to the Bible. 13 means rebellion, rejection and backsliding. However, according to some biblical scholars, 13 also means double blessing or double cursing. This is speaking of the 2-ways 2013 could go. “2-ways”will be part of the focus of this prophetic word. If I said nothing more, these meanings alone not only gives us an indication of what will be on the increase, but also a warning and expectation for the year ahead. A Tumultuous Year2-Ways 2013 will prove to be the most tumultuous year most of us have ever seen or experienced. Tumultuous means full of tumult (violent and noisy commotion or disturbance of a crowd or mob; uproar; a general outbreak, riot, uprising, or other disorder; highly distressing agitation of mind or feeling; or riotousness) marked by disturbance and uproar; raising a great clatter and commotion; disorderly or noisy; highly agitated, as the mind or emotions. Some Synonyms for tumultuous are: cataclysmic, stormy, tempestuous, convulsive, and turbulent. We’ve already experienced a lot of this turbulence all over the world, much of which is still going on, but also in our nation, especially at the end of 2012. Even the school shootings-murders in Newtown, Connecticut and the fire-murders in West Webster, NY that were actually planned assassinations and destructions are a part of this turbulence as those who knew the killers said that these were highly emotionally and mentally agitated people. But because of increased rebellion, further rejection of God and backsliding in the Church (which many Christians don’t believe in) the turbulence related to these will be on the increase—double. Rebellion will increase by double.

2013--FLOOD * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE A Prophetic Word Given by Debra Jack, Sr. Leader NBCF

At the end of every year I feel a particular sense to seek the LORD for the next year ahead. And even though we

here live by the Gregorian calendar, I believe God is faithful to honor His Divine direction over our lives no matter where

we are or the days or times over us. He often does this through the prophetic word that specifically comes through His

prophets—giving us a prophetic “heads up”. All over the world, God’s prophets are receiving information and direction

in order to release expectation and blessing.

So, what I believe the LORD is saying for 2013 holds Divine information, direction, and expectations.

As we look at the title of this prophetic word: “FLOODS * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE,” the initial thought

might be that this is going to be a totally negative word. But I want to say, “No.” Rather, I believe this prophetic word

goes 2-ways. And I believe the LORD is saying that 2013 will go 2-ways. Not might go 2-ways, but will go 2-ways.

So as not to confuse or get too complicated (as I am prone to do), I’m going to be as brief and pointed as possible as

I sense the LORD is doing.

The Meaning of 2013 First, I always like to look at the meaning of the numbers for year ahead. In man, this would be worldly numerology

based in superstition; but numbers according to the LORD always involve and reveal in some way, His plans and

purposes. According to the Bible, God’s Word, numbers have meaning. In 2013, we find the number 13. We all know

that according to the world, the number 13 is one of superstition. Unfortunately, even outside of superstition 13 does

not have a good meaning—even according to the Bible. 13 means rebellion, rejection and backsliding. However,

according to some biblical scholars, 13 also means double blessing or double cursing. This is speaking of the 2-ways

2013 could go. “2-ways”will be part of the focus of this prophetic word.

If I said nothing more, these meanings alone not only gives us an indication of what will be on the increase, but also

a warning and expectation for the year ahead.

A Tumultuous Year—2-Ways 2013 will prove to be the most tumultuous year most of us have ever seen or experienced.

Tumultuous means full of tumult (violent and noisy commotion or disturbance of a crowd or mob; uproar; a general

outbreak, riot, uprising, or other disorder; highly distressing agitation of mind or feeling; or riotousness) marked by

disturbance and uproar; raising a great clatter and commotion; disorderly or noisy; highly agitated, as the mind or

emotions.

Some Synonyms for tumultuous are: cataclysmic, stormy, tempestuous, convulsive, and turbulent.

We’ve already experienced a lot of this turbulence all over the world, much of which is still going on, but also in our

nation, especially at the end of 2012. Even the school shootings-murders in Newtown, Connecticut and the fire-murders

in West Webster, NY that were actually planned assassinations and destructions are a part of this turbulence as those

who knew the killers said that these were highly emotionally and mentally agitated people.

But because of increased rebellion, further rejection of God and backsliding in the Church (which many Christians

don’t believe in) the turbulence related to these will be on the increase—double. Rebellion will increase by double.

Rejection of God will increase by double. Concealed backsliding in the Church will increase by double. All this will

release the double cursing.

At the same time, the LORD says that there’s going to be another turbulence, which is related to “blessing.” This

turbulence will come from the Turbulent One—the Holy Spirit! He will stir up His violence against the Enemy causing his

unrest and disturbance! This violence toward the enemy will come through an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the

people of God. More about how Holy Spirit is going to do this later!

Double Blessing: 2-ways

Divine Blessings

I believe that the LORD is saying, regardless of popular belief of the number 13, 2013 will be a year of “double

blessing” for those IN Christ Jesus.

Blessing is defined as God’s favor. God’s favor produces in our lives the beneficial enduement of the power of God to

produce well-being in every area of life. The Amplified Bible amplifies the word, blessing, as happy; to be envied; and

spiritually prosperous with life joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation regardless of our outward conditions.

Blessing is being empowered to succeed. God’s people need His favor even more so in turbulent times.

As a result of this “double blessing” I sensed the LORD telling me that 2013 would be a year of tremendous, but also

unmistakable, clear, manifested increases. This will go 2-ways. Because the fullness of time is at hand, the Body of

Christ, those who are of and solidly in the Kingdom of God, are going to experience many (long awaited) activations and

even fulfillings of God’s Word: promises, prophecies, purposes, and possibilities. These activations and fulfillings are a

result of “the Blessing” manifested on God’s people.

The enemy doesn’t want God’s promises, prophecies, purposes, and possibilities activated or fulfilled, and he will

make every attempt to stop these activations and fulfillments, but the true Body of Christ will not put up with it any

longer. Through the empowerment of Holy Spirit, we are going to receive an outpouring of holy determination

(willpower, strength of mind, fortitude, resolve, grit) to stand on God’s Word in order to fulfill His will and call on our life

and what He has promised and purposed for us. Impossible things and situations are going to be made possible! We

need to get our hope, expectation, and faith back to the forefront of our relationship with Christ.

We can do this with the help of the Helper (Holy Spirit) and through “kneeling before God.” It’s interesting that one

word for, bless, comes from the Hebrew word, barak. Barak means bless, but it also means “kneel.” How do these go

together? Barak is to bring a gift to another while kneeling out of respect. The extended meaning of this word is to do or

give something of value to another. God "blesses" us by providing for our needs and we in turn "bless" God by giving

Him of ourselves as his servants—or, to kneel our lives before Him. This not only involves our worship, but our

obedience. We put “self” aside and glorify Him through our worship and obedience.

Cheap grace is a teaching that tells us that we do not need to kneel to receive God’s blessings. Let me say here and

now, the act of obedience was not thrown out in the New Testament or under grace! Obedience is still the key to

receiving God’s Blessing through Christ Jesus. It’s just that now we are empowered by grace to walk in obedience. If we

desire this double blessing, we must be prepared as much! Our worship in every area must increase and our obedience

to Him must increase--even when it is hard. This calls for grace (the favor and power of God to meet and overcome

every evil tendency in our lives; the operational power of God; the power to accomplish).

The Result of Double Blessing

Double Blessings come because of our acceptance of and belief in Who Christ is and what He has accomplished. This

naturally causes us to walk in His grace and produces obedience in us. Belief in Who Christ is and what He has done

together release double blessing, which are revealed in the areas of internal—inner (spiritual) joy and strength; life,

health, prosperity, agricultural abundance, safety, and respect.

Passages for New Years Study and Meditation:

Psalm 24:4-6--“The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.

5 They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Savior. 6 Such is the generation of those who

seek Him, who seek Your face, God of Jacob.”

Psalm 128:2--“You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.”

Proverbs 10:6--“Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.”

Proverbs 10:22--“The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it.”

Genesis 13 2 Corinthians 8-9

Proverbs 10-13 Ephesians 1:3-4

Galatians 3:13-15 1 John

Demonic Blessings: False Blessings

I believe the LORD is showing me that the second way of double blessings involves demonically induced false

blessings. People will appear to be blessed. False blessings are going to be difficult to detect and will be accompanied

by another (deeper) level of deception. Did you know that satan can bless? Oh, yes he can. He can cause people to

prosper, walk in good health and more just so he can “use” them in greater ways! Watch! See! Listen! But we must

remember, because satan is inherently evil, when he is finished with these—it will be tragic.

False Blessings Birthing False Signs, Wonders, Miracles

Because the fullness of time is at hand, the kingdom of darkness will cause its members to increase in

unprecedented deceptions, both subtle and obvious (to those in Christ). Not all of this deception will come from the

world where we expect it to come from; much will come directly out of Church pulpits through the invention of new

(false) and distorted doctrine through false teachers and prophets--which is already fully in force and leading thousands

astray. Furthermore, these unprecedented deceptions are not limited to false teachers and prophets; there will be

many individuals who will fall into deceptions because they are not submitted to the Body and have absolutely no

accountability.

Spiritual Growth—Our Protection Against Deception

It’s time to grow up! The Church needs to mature IN THE WORD OF GOD to the point that we can weigh carefully

every word preached! Balance is a key for this hour. Any word that is distorted or off even a little bit, has the potential

to become corrupt. The “grace” message is an example of this. You’ve got two extremes: 1) The messages that

disregard or evade grace; and 2) The messages that teach “cheap grace.”

4

For those who have not had the chance to spiritually grow because they are new Christians, they must be “filled

with the Spirit” and ask Holy Spirit to direct and connect them with tried and true Leaders who are strong and secure in

Christ Jesus and a group of Believers of the same. Furthermore, the Church needs to learn weigh and discern every sign,

wonder and miracle. Yes. It’s time to know and understand that satan is capable of all such things!

Double Curses Double curses will result because of the increase of rebellion, rejection of God and backsliding.

Kenneth Copeland once defined a curse as being “empowered to fail.” A blessing being “empowered to succeed.”

Derek Prince has a more elaborate definition of a curse. As a Greek scholar, he studied the Scriptures in detail

concerning curses and helped many become free from the effect of curses. He said: “Curses are words spoken, with

some form of authority (good or evil), that set in motion something that will go on generation after generation. Behind

the word-curses is a spiritual power: God or Satan.

A curse is the penalty to be paid for the breaking of a law. Thus the Biblical meaning regarding God’s Law is “the

consequence that will occur because of disobedience and rebellion against God’s Law—Word.

How Do Curses Affect?

Curses result in death, disease, drought, dearth (poverty/lack), danger, destruction, defeat, deportation, destitution,

and disgrace. (RTF; Chester & Betsy Kylstra)

I believe the LORD is showing me that for those not in Him, we’re going to witness twice the failure in 2013. You can

expect to begin to see a double increase of cursing. But remember, you do not have to experience these! A curse does

not need to even come near you (Psalm 91:7; Isaiah 54:14).

Redeemed From the Curse

Of course, as born-again Believers, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law (Galatians 3:13) and any other

types of curse. Recognition of a curse is the first step of separation from it. Repentance is the second step from it.

Renouncing is the third step from it.

If you’re IN Christ, you are not subject to curses. If you are NOT in Christ, you will be subject to curses. It’s a Divine

Law set in concrete.

Holy Spirit: The Great Separator! While in defining 2013 and asking the LORD for His will and direction for 2013—none other than the Holy Spirit

comes directly to the forefront—right where He belongs! The Holy Spirit is the Great Director of our lives. In that He is

also the Great Separator sent to separate us from and to. It is the Holy Spirit Who will affectively separate us FROM the

dominion of darkness and separates us TO the Kingdom of God. This is the key reason we are to, “But ever be filled and

stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit,” (Ephesians 5:18 AMP).

A couple of ways Holy Spirit is going to separate us from and to, is through flood and fire.

FLOODS: 2-Ways We all know what floods are: a rising and overflowing of a body of water especially onto normally dry land. Floods

can come gradual or quick. There are going to be greater natural floods (especially flash floods) taking place in 2013 as a

greater sign of these End Times. Some of these floods will take place in a greater capacity, but also in unusual places.

While natural floods will take place in the earth, I believe the LORD is saying that there are going to be two kinds of

great spiritual floods taking place: Divine and demonic.

Confirmation: The 13th letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet Speaks of—Water

While listening to the LORD, He took me to the 13th letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet, which is Mem.

The early Semitic pictograph for this letter is a picture of waves of water:

The earlier or ancient image of Mem is water and the brief definition means chaos, mighty, blood. (Ancient Hebrew

Research Center; Jeff A. Benner; Mah (Mem).

The modern symbol for Mem is: While the modern pictorgraph for Mem has changed through the years, we

can see at the top of the image the waves, still signifying, moving water.

This pictograph has the meanings of water and sea, mighty and massive from the size of the sea and chaos from the

storms of the sea. To the Hebrews the sea was a feared and unknown place, for this reason this letter is used as a

question word: who, what, when, where, why and how, in the sense of searching for an unknown.

Mem seems to be water then, that is more active, forceful, powerful and even violent much like the mighty waves of

an ocean or sea. The water of Mem has the power to displace.

In applying Mem to the lives of God’s people, most Hebrew scholars agree that the main meaning of Mem signifies

water as represented in the sea of Torah [teachings, instructions], the ocean of Talmud, knowledge, wisdom, etc. aka

the water of the Word. The water of the Word of God has--like the mighty waves of an ocean--the force or power to

move things and keep things moving--i.e., us! And, it has the power to displace that which is wrong in us.

In the 119th Psalm, which records the Hebrew Aleph-Bet, we find the letter Mem in verses 97-104, which bears this

out its relationship to the Word of God.

These verses tell how Mem works: “Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. 98 Your commands are

always with me and make me wiser than my enemies. 99 I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your

statutes. 100 I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts. 101 I have kept my feet from every evil

path so that I might obey your word. 102 I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me. 103 How

sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104 I gain understanding from your precepts;

therefore I hate every wrong path.”

It is in obeying and meditating on God’s Word that we find the answers to our quests in life for the unknown things:

who, what, when, where, why and how.

In addition to the Word of God being as the water of the seas and oceans; Jesus referred to water in John 7 as the

outpouring of the Holy Spirit: “Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud

voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! 38 He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and

relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, FROM HIS INNERMOST BEING SHALL FLOW [CONTINUOUSLY] SPRINGS AND RIVERS OF LIVING

WATER. 39 But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to

Page 6: 2013--FLOOD * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE · 2013--FLOOD * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE A Prophetic Word Given by Debra Jack, Sr. Leader NBCF At the end of every year I feel a

6

receive. For the *Holy+ Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor),” (Verses 37-

39).

We need to keep in mind here that the Holy Spirit is the Author of the Word of God.

As we can see from the Amplified Bible, this springs and rivers of living water is meant to flow continuously--not

once.

Water represents life. We must have water to live. It’s the same with the water of the Word. The living water of

Holy Spirit cleanses-washes us from sin (death), gives us new life and keeps us moving [forward]. This is why, even if we

have been baptized in the Holy Spirit, we need continual refreshing infillings. In the natural we wouldn’t drink one glass

of water in a lifetime and call it good, would we?

We need the water of the Spirit: His anointing and the Word of God empowered and brought to life in us through

Him.

Divine Floods

I believe the LORD is showing me an actual “spiritual” flood, waters moving and rising, over flowing—a fresh, strong

and continuous outpouring of His Spirit into the spirits of those who are desiring and longing for Him.

As much as we in the Body have talked about a fresh outpouring, for the most part, many have been sitting in a pool

of stagnant water and completely okay with it--complacent! But many, while they admit they don’t understand the

Bible--the Word of God, the Spirit, freedom, the life of Christ, the finished work of Christ, the power of God, identity and

destiny--are seemingly satisfied right where they are. At least showing a little frustration would go a long way here!

This Holy Spirit outpouring is going to come like a flood to cause a refreshing to God’s people unlike any other that

will move us forward and carry us through. This outpouring will have the force of the Spirit behind it. In other words, it’s

not going to be an inner quiet running river. There’s a reason the Holy Spirit came into the Upper Room (actually the

House—Temple) on the day of Pentecost like a “violent wind!” Did you know the Holy Spirit can be violent when He

wants to? He’s not always a quiet little dove!

This outpouring is not just about speaking in tongues, while it will include tongues, this outpouring will affect and

enable a greater and quicker spiritual growth through a thirst for God’s Word; it will flood us with wisdom and revelation

from above; it will [slap] open the eyes of our understanding as never before--making us spiritually smart; it will make us

unusually strong in the LORD; bold in the LORD; it will flow over to affect others to come into the Body of Christ. The

power of outpouring of the Holy Spirit’s water will seep into the dry ground of many unbelievers to change and bring

Life to them. But, while this water will flow onto the dry ground of some, the water will just run off others because their

ground has been dry so long, it won’t receive the water or, let the water seep in.

This Holy Spirit flood will quench the thirst of the thirsty—it will refresh, cleanse, heal and deliver. It will move us.

It is important to note again, that there is a force behind a natural flood. Floods involve rapidly moving water. You

don’t stop a flood. You don’t ultimately control a flood, it controls you!

In relation to this spiritual outpouring of the Holy Spirit, it will be moving with force! It’s going to break

off things and move mountains that have seemed unmovable.

This outpouring will cause utter chaos and confusion in the enemy’s camp.

Demonic Floods

The second flood will be the devil releasing his floods of chaos upon the earth and he will break open the dry

hardened ground of many to force his way in through the cracks of their lives. He will also forcefully get involved in the

atmospheric conditions of the earth. And, he will flood the nations “more so” this year with His evil deceptions.

The devils floods will be completely diverted around God’s people who are in the outpouring of the Spirit!

FIRE: 2-ways No doubt there will be tremendous physical fires over the United States this year.

I believe the LORD was showing me that there is also going to be fire in the Church: Holy Fire, (which I’ll talk about

in a moment), and at the same time, I heard the term, strange fire.

I found the term, strange fire, in Numbers 3:4—“But Nadab and Abihu *Aaron’s sons and priest who were anointed+

died before the LORD when they offered strange fire before the LORD in the Wilderness of Sinai; and they had no

children.”

Nadab and Abihu, who we see were sons of Aaron and priests, offered strange fire and died by the fire of the LORD

in an instant. There’s lots of theocratic discussion about what exactly the strange fire was they offered the LORD that

caused their deaths. The short of it is that neither Nadab nor Abihu showed any regard for God (or the fear of the LORD),

the things of God, or for His high priest, Aaron. Nadab and Abihu betrayed a careless and irreverent attitude toward the

holy things of God. They displayed hearts not set on the things of God, so much as on their own desires. They were going

to serve God, but their own way, not the way He had so carefully prescribed. Unfortunately, we are often guilty of this

same attitude: we want to serve God, but only in our own self-centered way and under our own conditions.

Nadab and Abihu were inflated with self-focus, pride, and rebellion, which were the driving forces behind their

actions towards the worship of the LORD. Yet they were sons of Aaron and priests to boot. Strange fire points to the

number 13 in its meaning of: rebellion, rejection of God, and backsliding.

There are lots of so-called Christians offering strange fire.

Possibly God has not dealt with or judged strange fire up to this point in time because of His great mercy and grace.

But, I believe as true fire arises in the Church, strange fire is going to be judged more quickly to separate the pure from

the putrid. I don’t know if that will involve death, all though we must consider Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5)!

We have a choice, we can be “on fire” for Him; or be “under fire”, which puts us directly under the written biblical

fires or judgments of the End Times.

Fire can be our friend or our foe. It can bring us comfort or tragedy.

Having said that, over the past 10 years, at least, there has been a lot of prophecy, teaching, preaching and just

general talk about the subject of “fire”—specifically, Holy Spirit Fire.

Fire is defined as the phenomenon of combustion manifested in light, flame, and heat. It is also defined as burning

passion.

At the very beginning of the New Testament, the Holy Spirit is associated with fire. John the Baptist predicts: “As for

me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove

His sandals; HE WILL BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE,” (Matthew 3:11 NASB; Luke 3:16).

When the Holy Spirit began His ministry of indwelling the early Church, He chose to appear as “tongues of fire”

resting on each of the believers: “When suddenly there came a sound from heaven like the rushing of a violent tempest

blast, and it filled the whole house in which they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire,

Page 8: 2013--FLOOD * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE · 2013--FLOOD * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE A Prophetic Word Given by Debra Jack, Sr. Leader NBCF At the end of every year I feel a

8

which were separated and distributed and which settled on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled (diffused

throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the

Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression . . . ,” (Acts 2:1-4 AMP).

Why did Holy Spirit choose to come as fire to the first church? I believe the LORD needed to burn off from those

meeting in that room, the residue of the Old Covenant Law (so that they would not return to the former ways) and burn

off the affects of the sin on their life (which was never available to them under the Old Covenant). And, I believe the

Holy Spirit came as well to relight a fire in them. To them, Jesus had left them and while some witnessed His

resurrection and ascension; others were still not sure where He had gone!

Fire is a wonderful and powerful picture of the work of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is like a fire in at least three

ways: He brings God’s presence, God’s passion, and God’s purity. The fire of the Holy Spirit is the presence of God

as He indwells the heart of the Believer (Romans 8:9) as temples of the living God (2 Corinthians 5:1; 6:16).

The fire of the Holy Spirit creates the passion of God in our hearts. After the two traveling disciples talk with the

resurrected Jesus, they describe their hearts as “burning within us” (Luke 24:32). After the apostles receive the Spirit at

Pentecost, they have a passion that lasts a lifetime and impels them to speak the word of God boldly (Acts 4:31). We

have the same Holy Spirit and through His fire, we can have a passion that lasts a lifetime and impels us to speak the

Word of God boldly. Notice that the tongues of fire in the Upper Room were accompanied by a violent wind? Do you

know what wind does to fire? In a smoldering fire, wind can cause it to be rekindled into a raging fire. Wind also causes

fire to spread and spread quickly. We call it “wild fire.”

So, this fire will provoke greater passionate relationship with Christ and our sisters and brothers in Him; priority

setting; and an increase in ministry.

The fire of the Holy Spirit produces the purity of God in our lives. God’s purpose is to purify us (Titus 2:14), and the

Spirit is the agent of our sanctification (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:2).

He does all of this by removing sin and its affects in our life—or its mark left on our life. Hebrews 12:29 tell us that,

“Our God *is indeed+ a consuming fire,” (AMP). Fire separates us from sin--in every respect!

As the silversmith uses fire to purge the dross from the precious metal, so God uses the Spirit to remove sin from us

(Psalm 66:10; Proverbs 17:3). His fire cleanses and refines (separates and makes pure).

As believers in Jesus Christ, we are called upon to offer our bodies as “living sacrifices” (Romans 12:1), engulfed by

the divine gift: the inextinguishable fire of the Holy Spirit.

To date, much of the Church over the last 2,000 years has not truly experienced the kind of fire we are about to.

It’s Time For The Fresh Outpouring of the Holy Spirit Through Flood and Fire

This outpouring of the Holy Spirit will include both water and fire—not one or the other—both—simultaneously

occurring—at the same time. It would seem that the two would not mix, but they will.

Why will there be both?

Because for true separation “from and to” to happen in our lives, we not only need a washing--a refreshing

cleansing, we need fire that will burn up any evidence or mark of sin.

This outpouring will be continual--not a one time event. It will “flow” through our lives.

The word, outpouring, means the act of pouring out. Not much revelation there. But it’s interesting and exciting

that Webster’s Dictionary list these Synonyms for the word, outpouring: exodus, gush, outpour, outflow. An outpouring

of the Holy Spirit comes like a gush (a sudden copious or violent flow)! But, do you see the word, exodus? An

outpouring of the Holy Spirit causes an exodus in our lives!

A FRESH OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN FLOOD AND FIRE IS WHAT WE NEED CONTINUOUSLY AND EVERY

TIME. Every time what? EVERY TIME WE SIN AND REPENT--WE NEED to be cleansed from within by His water and then

at the same time, purified with His FIRE, burning away the very affects of the sin. This is called, deliverance, which always

results in freedom.

A fresh outpouring means that we become separated and free from the very “affects” or “marks” of the

sin. It is an exodus from slavery.

We understand, as Believers, that we are to ask for forgiveness of our sin; but we often find afterwards that we are

not truly FREE from the affects of the sin, which causes us to sin in the same manner again and again. Anger

(uncontrolled), unbelief, addictions would all be good examples. We struggle with these and ask for forgiveness of them;

and then find our self struggling again in a vicious cycle. This is called the affects of sin. Sin reaps in our life. The affects

of sin can become a part of us, of who we are, of our identity. Sin can be like our shadow. This is why even though we

repent of sin--we often find our self repeating it! Why? We never allow Holy Spirit to truly purify us from the affects of

sin through His fire; so they stick with us—they mark us—they become part of our identity. Holy Spirit wants to not only

forgive us from sin, but He wants to burn away from us even the affects of sin that we no longer identify with it at all--

it’s completely gone! Then we are able to identify with Christ Jesus!

A life of constant repenting without true and lasting change can lead to discouragement, hopelessness, and even

ultimately acceptance of sin. We even start making excuses and defending sin! For instance: “I have the sickness of

depression.” “I was born a homosexual.” “I’m just a procrastinator.” “I only drink to help calm my nerves.” You see

how these become a part of one’s identity?

The Holy Spirit is given to us to FREE us--to separate us from sin and death to holiness and abundant life.

He will baptize us with flood and fire. When we experience a Holy Spirit outpouring--gush and exodus--it will be

evident--noticed. This outpouring, gush and exodus will be accompanied by 3 things: 1) A spiritual inner feeling/sensing,

which will manifest through joy, peace, refreshing, passion, freedom, revelation, etc. 3) A physical manifestation. This is

not to lead anyone to do something or act out, it’s just a heads-up. Many (not all) will actually feel wet or a cool

refreshing and at the same or directly following, heat over or somewhere in their body! Other physical manifestations

will be shaking, trembling, overwhelming feeling of excitement, strong reverence (fear of the LORD), unable to stand or

falling out, instant healing, etc. Why physical manifestations? Our body is not used to the power of the Holy Spirit

invading its space--it will often respond somehow. 3) These are followed by a hunger and thirst for the Word of God,

which will come ALIVE—washing and burning away, from our soul, that which hinders us.

FAITH: 2-ways

Divine Driven Faith

As a result of the outpouring of Holy Spirit through flood and fire, many will experience a greater Holy Spirit-driven-

faith. This will be Christ-like faith or the “faith of Christ!”

Colossians 1:4 from the Amplified Bible says, “For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [the leaning of your

entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love

which you *have and show+ for all the saints (God’s consecrated ones) . . .”

This verse is defining faith as the leaning of our entire human personality [or our entire person] on Him in absolute

trust and confidence in His power, wisdom and goodness. This was the kind of faith Christ had in His Father and the kind

of faith He gives us through His Spirit.

However, to obtain and keep this kind of faith, we need a continual and fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit. Our faith

needs the oil of the Spirit.

The outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost included an anointing of Christ-like faith.

No one can build Christ-like faith without His Spirit; and no one can maintain Christ-like faith without His Spirit.

Demonic Driven Faith

At the same time, we are going to see more demonically driven faith this year.

Faith in self [which is driven by demons] will increase (if you can even comprehend that as it seems at an all time

high even now). This is people setting themselves up as their own god. At the same time, there will be obvious faith in

satanic gods and things.

2013 FORCING CHANGE—2-Ways I believe the tumultuous year of 2013 is going to force change. Force means strength; energy; power; and/or

intensity exerted upon an object or person(s) or brought to bear. Force is active power; power to influence, affect, or

control; efficacious (having the power to produce the desired effect) power.

Change means to transform or convert; to make different—radically different in some particular way; to give a

different position, course, or direction.

Between the two—turbulence and outpouring, 2013 will force change in God’s people—causing us to go deeper in

Him and become the transformed people we are supposed to be. It will force change in those who are perishing, some

will be suddenly awakened and will “see and understand” their need for the Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe there are

going to be some key people radically born-again this year: famous people (actors, actresses, musicians, etc.), important

people (as in the congress, senate, judicial people, etc.) and people who for many years have been prayed for by loved

ones.

So, in other words, what we will see and witness around us this year will have the active power and influence to

cause many to be converted and transformed; to make many radically different in some way; and to give many a

different position, course, or direction in their beliefs, way of thinking, decision-making, choices, priorities, etc. This will

go 2-ways.

At the same time and while this is happening, this tumultuous year will force change in others causing them to be

drawn even deeper into various and greater areas of deception. This deception will involve a part of the Church.

And unfortunately, I believe the LORD is showing me an even greater divide in our nation. Over all, turbulence and

outpouring will force change in our nation—2-ways—2 distinct, noticeable, obvious ways.

2013—A Year of “Right” Priorities

The LORD is going to cause us to set “right” priorities in life. Many in the Body of Christ have godly priorities set

only at certain times of their life. For instance, we have just come though Christmas and we find many people who

never show or reveal their connection to Christ any other time of year or in anything else in their life. Just using an

Page 11: 2013--FLOOD * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE · 2013--FLOOD * FIRE * FAITH * FORCING CHANGE A Prophetic Word Given by Debra Jack, Sr. Leader NBCF At the end of every year I feel a

11

example, a lot of Country music stars sing and record “from their hearts” Christmas music and carols, but the rest of the

year one could never detect their Christianity. This goes for movie stars and other popular people. It also goes for many

in the Church. The LORD says that, “The Church struggles with godly and righteous priorities in their life.” This struggle

with priorities is what causes a domino effect of all kinds of struggles in our life, in general.

Priorities are those things that take precedence or position in our life. In other words, first things first. Who or what

is FIRST in our life? And, what does FIRST look like?

2013—A Year of Working Gifts

The LORD is going to compel us into our gifts. Compel means to drive or urge forcefully or irresistibly; or to

cause to do or occur by overwhelming pressure.

Unbeknown to many, our God-given gifts are often ignored, laid aside, buried or forgotten all together. God-given

gifts are given for a reason: to be used to glorify God. God-given gifts are often a “demonstration of the Spirit’s power”

and if not His power, then a demonstration of His love, ability, help and more. This year it is imperative that our God-

given gifts be put to the use as He has intended them.

Church At NBCF Will Change There will be changes in the services at NBCF this year. Some will love it, others . . . not so much. I see us in a time

of being so moved by the Spirit that services will naturally last longer because we dare not interrupt what the Spirit is

doing. Yet, we won’t want to! The flood waters and the fire of the Holy Spirit are going to be poured out. Who knows—

it could happen right now!

There will also be concise services of training—the NBCF School—because zeal without knowledge is dangerous. This

turbulent year and outpouring of the Spirit will lend to this discipleship and training.

2013—A Year of Evangelism Every year is a “year of evangelism.” Possibly one thing different this year will be a spirit of much “searching of

heart.” Searching of heart means: What do I do? Do I or don’t I? It means that someone is in the “place of decision.”

The Holy Spirit is going to cause those who are evangelizing to literally see and detect this spirit on people. This will

require those evangelizing to be quick. You must discern and detect quickly or their “searching of heart” will go away. It

will also help evangelists minister to these people in a stronger way, enabling them to make a decision for Christ.

2013—A Year of Intercessory Prayer The power of “intercessory prayer” is going to arise in the Body with suddenness, power and authority and it will

operate 24/7. However, I’m not seeing 24/7 “prayer services” per say—not to say they won’t happen from time to time,

but I’m seeing people “stopping and dropping” to their knees all over. We’re going to see people praying in public

places—not yelling in public places—praying quietly in public places: Stores, sidewalks, centers, malls, escalators,

lunchrooms, parking lots, etc. They will be called to suddenly “intercede!” As they obey and pray, the power of the Holy

Spirit will hit passersby’s. I saw some of these passerby’s dropping down by them. I saw one intercessor sitting on a

mall bench with people laying all about.

This will be going on 24/7 all over. The News is going to report it as a “phenomenon.” (I’m smiling!)

The power and authority has been given to Intercessors in the Church to release this “power of intercession” NOW!
