    TAV has been awarded with the operation of the Monastir Airport (MIR) as well as the development and operation of the NEW Enfidha-Hammamet Airport (NBE) in 2007. Enfidha-Hammamet Airport became operational in late 2009.

    Operator of 12 airports worldwide, TAV facilitates the growth of airlines and tour operators’ business in both airports by providing excellent service at all levels of operations.

    Despite its short history, the new Enfidha-Hammamet Airport (NBE) is already popular among airlines. as the route network continuously expands. International non-stop flights from 72 destinations are operated in NBE in 2012, mainly the summer season charter flights originating from Europe.

    Tunisair, Transavia, Transaero, and Jetairfly are some of the international airlines which have operated in NBE in 2012. The airport also accommodated TUI, Thomas Cook and REWE groups’ airlines in 2012, positioning it as the ultimate gateway for leisure traffic.

    NBE handled 2.1 million passengers in 2012 after serving 0.5 million in 2010 and 1.3 million in 2011.

    On the other hand, Monastir Airport served 1.2 million passengers in 2012.

  • Both airports are well-positioned as consolidation and distribution points for air cargo due to their proximity to the main highways.

    There is 3,000 m2 of storage space at Enfidha-Hammamet’s (NBE) Cargo Terminal. Additional special facilities like radioactive room, funeral room and four rooms for refrigeration and cooling enables handling special cargo needs.

    Monastir Airport (MIR) has a cargo storage space of 1,100 m2. Refrigeration and cooling rooms are also available at the cargo terminal.

    Availability of an aircraft parking position at the cargo terminals facilitates fast and easy cargo operations.
