In terms of ACCESS, only 3 out of 10
Filipinos have internet connection and
only 52% of those with access have
speedy connection. Most of the youth
also access the internet in cafes, thus
vulnerable to misguidance and sheer
peer influence.
NOT ONLY TO USE DIGITAL AND
SOCIAL MEDIA TO TEACH, BUT
TO USE DIGITAL AND SOCIAL
MEDIA FOR ADVOCACY.
The beauty about being a teacher in
the age of digital and social media is
that regardless of the subject you are
teaching, you can forward the cause of
molding not only intelligent youth but
youth who use their intelligence in
service of others.
Digital and social media are tools
brought about by change, innovated by
change, and can be catalysts of
change.
