COURSES The course details in this Handbook are correct at the time of printing. However, unforeseen circumstances may enforce a last minute alteration, so riders are advised to refer to their Start Sheet for the accurate course details.

COURSE NOTES - APPLICABLE TO ALL COURSES (Please refer to specific course notes for each event in the following pages)

• No rider should use a turbo trainer or rollers in the HQ parking area or adjacent roads and you will be asked to stop if

found doing so. Anyone failing to comply with this restriction risks disqualification. • Keep noise to a minimum to avoid unnecessary disturbance of local residents. • Riders risk disqualification if they perform U turns in the start and finish areas or use these areas as a public toilet. • No warming up on the course once the event has started. • All Junior and Juvenile riders MUST wear recognised standard protective headgear. In the interests of safety it

is recommended that all riders should wear a hard shell helmet that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.

The Vets 25 Championship on the Marsh has traditionally been a qualifier for our BAR’s. But in 2012 they have moved the date to 19 August, which clashes with the ESCA 100. So Gravesend CC has graciously agreed to include their 25 on 15 July as a replacement BAR qualifier.

Take 2nd exit onto A.2070 passing straight through Bridgefield RAB (M) to Cloverleaf RAB (junction with A2042) (13.68 miles). TURN (M) and retrace passing straight through Bridgefield RAB (M) to Brenzett RAB, (Little Chef) (22.65 miles) where left (M) on A.259 to finish 0.35 miles past the start, in line with the drain at the western end of lay-by on south side of the A259 near to Martingfield Cottage. • Strictly NO PARKING in Marley’s private car park. • No parking in Dickley Lane except for timekeepers. • Riders should not arrive at the start any more than 5 minutes before their allotted start time. • Riders must not turn or congregate in the driveway to the Marley works. • Riders proven to be associated with any car parking or turning in this vicinity will be

disqualified from the event. • Riders using Marley Lane to ride to and from the start should exercise great care, this lane

is very narrow, often gritty and sports many potholes.

Course Details Start on old road at Ham Street (TR327004) under high power lines south of Mountain Farm entrance, proceed to Johnson’s Corner to join A2070 (0.6 miles). Proceed south on A2070 to Little Chef RBT (3.95 miles). Take second exit at Brenzett RAB junction of A259/A2070/B2080 (Little Chef) on to A.259 and follow via Brookland RAB to East Guldeford where left via Camber to Lydd, skirting the town to join the B.2075 (care) and proceed to Hammonds Corner where left onto A.259 to Brenzett RAB (Little Chef) (25.34 miles). Take first exit to Brookland RAB and then complete further circuit to Brenzett RAB (46.73 miles). Take 3rd exit (CARE) onto A2070 to finish 12 metres north of lamp post No UAT 005 at north end of lay-by, approx 100m south of Johnson’s Corner. (50 miles)

Course Details Start at Public Bridleway sign on A28 approx 400 yards SW of St. Nicholas at Wade sign (TR264658). Continue along A28 to St. Nicholas RAB turn left onto Thanet Way westbound. Continue to Broomfield interchange, turn left and over bridge to rejoin Thanet Way eastbound. Leave main road at next slip road (SP Hillboro, Reculver, Hoath and Chislet) and continue past T-junction along slip road to rejoin Thanet Way eastbound. Continue to St. Nicholas RAB where turn left into Potten Street Road. Continue west along Potten Street Road, taking the 2nd left turning over the bridge SP St. Nicholas (12.9 miles) and take the 1st left into Wantsum Way to join Thanet Way westbound. Proceed as on 1st circuit to return to St. Nicholas RAB turning left into Potten Street Road as above.
