Nissan Leaf wasn’t the first EV to go on sale, but along with the Mitsubishi i, it is one of the most affordable. As such, Leaf has attracted considerable attention and media coverage. But sales, so far, have been limited.

Leaf is offered in two grades, although there’s very little that separates the two. For 2012, cold-weather features are standard on both grades. And the SV adds DC Fast Charge capability as standard. The two models also get healthy MSRP increases: the SV is up $2,420 and the SL $3,530.

Leaf’s range is limited by it batteries’ charge, then it must stop and recharge. Because it’s a hybrid, the Prius has the same driving range as any gas-powered car.”
