Kevin learned the importance of nurturing dreams at an early age aer over-
coming a difficult childhood. It was the struggle of his childhood that gave him
the fuel and s$mulated the work ethic necessary to earn a baseball scholarship
and graduate from the University of Utah. Aer gradua$ng, Kevin played two
years of professional baseball in Canada. Today he is an interna$onal speaker,
trainer, author, entrepreneur and execu$ve producer.
Kevin takes the opportunity to touch lives very seriously. He has delivered
messages for organiza$ons such as Hewle, Packard, AT&T, Cal Trans, Med-
tronic, The Olympic Training Center, Colonial Life Insurance, Farmers Insur-
ance, Keller Williams, The March of Dimes and Disneyworld’s Wide World of
Sports to name a few.
Kevin has been privileged to speak at over 900 middle schools, high schools
and colleges, to over 500,000 students across America where he teaches teens
his formula for SUCCESS and how to discover their GREATNESS. He was voted
the #1 high school and college speaker by counselors and students 6 years in a
row, and the #1 speaker for the Character Combine for the last 2 years.
Kevin's proudest accomplishments are his 14-year marriage to Jessica Bracy, as
well as his three children: KendraJae, 18 (dancer, singer, and actress), Kobe, 11
(speaker, nego$ator, intellectual), and Kaleb (the Bracy’s guardian angel since
2005).

Colin Wilson is a Senior Educator with the St. Louis Science Center and has
overseen the Youth Exploring Science program for 3 years, and coordinates a
chemistry outreach grant called Mystery of Ma,er. The Youth Exploring
Science (YES) program and Mystery of Ma,er both promote the Saint Louis
Science Center's mission "to ignite and sustain lifelong science and technolo-
gy learning throughout the community." In an effort to do so, the YES pro-
gram works with 250 underprivileged teenagers throughout the course of
their high school career, providing them with an inquiry based learning envi-
ronment that focuses on science, mathema$cs, and technology.
These teens par$cipate in, as well as create, their own projects centered
around science and technology in an informal environment. Also as a part of
the program teens gain professional, academic, and real world skills that
assist in building self-confidence and personal success.
YES teens are recruited from over twenty partnered community based or-
ganiza$ons who are commi,ed to serving low-income families throughout
the St. Louis area. They interact directly with these organiza$ons and com-
munity partner members to help facilitate science events and ac$vi$es.

Dr. Gabrielle Lyon is an educa$on ac$vist, convener, and nonprofit leader. As the
Cofounder and Senior Explorer at Project Explora$on, Gabrielle Lyon champions
the belief that science can and should be accessible to everyone, especially to those
to whom it tradi$onally has been closed.
In 1994, Lyon was selected as a Fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center, where
she worked as a writer and researcher for the educa$on magazine Teaching Toler-
ance, a na$onal forum for educators to discuss tolerance, diversity, and jus$ce in
and beyond the classroom. In 1996, Lyon returned to Chicago to serve as the Out-
reach Coordinator, and then Director of the School Change Ins$tute, at the Small
Schools Workshop at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She co-founded Project
Explora$on in 1999 with paleontologist Paul Sereno, serving as Execu$ve Director
from 2000-2011, when she transi$oned to her role as Senior Explorer. Lyon estab-
lished Project Explora$on’s na$onally-recognized model for recrui$ng and retaining
minority youth and girls to science and, while Execu$ve Direct, or built Project Ex-
plora$on into a $1.8 million organiza$on reaching 250+ students of color and girls
with direct service programs and 1 million people annually via traveling educa$onal
exhibits.
Lyon's honors include represen$ng the Interna$onal Associa$on of Educators for
World Peace as a delegate to the United Na$ons in Geneva, Switzerland, address-

munity Trust Leadership Fellowship in 2009. Project Explora$on received the Presi-
den$al Award for Excellence in Science, Mathema$cs and Engineering Mentoring in
2009, and in 2011 was recognized with an “Excellence in Summer Learning Award”
from the Na$onal Summer Learning Ins$tute. In 2011 Chicago Magazine named
Lyon a “Chicagoan of the Year.”
Lyon serves on the boards of the Coali$on for Science Aer School, the Illinois Girls
Collabora$ve, and Science Makers. Lyon has par$cipated in six interna$onal expe-

Lyon estab-
lished Project Explora$on’s na$onally-recognized model for recrui$ng and retaining
minority youth and girls to science and, while Execu$ve Direct, or built Project Ex-
plora$on into a $1.8 million organiza$on reaching 250+ students of color and girls
with direct service programs and 1 million people annually via traveling educa$onal
exhibits.
Lyon's honors include represen$ng the Interna$onal Associa$on of Educators for
World Peace as a delegate to the United Na$ons in Geneva, Switzerland, address-
ing the United Na$ons Subcommi,ee on Human Rights on "The Preven$on of Rac-
ism and the Protec$on of Minori$es" in 1995 and being recognized as one of
"Tomorrow's Leaders Today" by Public Allies in 1999. She was named one of the
Community Renewal Society's "35 Under 35" in 2007, and received a Chicago Com-
munity Trust Leadership Fellowship in 2009.
Lyon has par$cipated in six interna$onal expe-
di$ons to Africa, China and South America, and, in 1995, discovered the predatory
dinosaur Deltadromeus.
