All of the consignors to “The Magnolia Classic” have excellent herd health programs consisting of deworm-ing, stringent vaccination procedures and balanced mineral usage. All animals sell with health certifi cates from each consignor’s personal veterinarian.

Welcome to the Magnolia Classic 2012! We are pleased to welcome our guest consignors and all cattle enthusiasts to Little Creek Farm. The year for cattlemen has been one of challenges. We continue to battle the rising costs of the three F’s: feed, fertilizer, and fuel. Many of our friends have had the most severe drought they have experienced since the 1950’s. Those of us who love cattle and the cattle business con-tinue to fi nd a way to improve our product even in the face of challenges. Because of the cost factors and the desire to offer a more uniform product to our customers, we have heavily culled our herd and now have fewer mature cows than we have had in ten years. This has resulted in fewer calves, and because of a high percentage of bulls, we have had precious few heifers born at Little Creek. We retained only our best cows, the resulting heifers we are offering in the Magnolia Classic are the most uniform group of heifers that we have offered.As in years past, our guest consignors have stepped up with a quality offering from the heart of their herds. Only in sales like the Magnolia Classic will you be able to sample the genetics from several proven herds. We are humbled by the desire of the consignors to be a part of this Fleckvieh event.

We are excited about the potential of the cattleindustry in the coming years. Cow numbers are down primarily because of the impact of the drought and as a result, the cattle market is poised for profi t potential in the near and distant future. Now is an excellent time to consider mak-ing an investment in breeding stock The need for cattle that will produce high quality beef has never been greater.

Little Creek Farm has again provided the very best of their program

for you to appraise, with a tremendous line up of bred heifers, many

that are truly donor quality. Just about every possible type of genet-

ics is offered - polled bred to polled, a couple of possibly homozygous

polled, horned bred polled and old rare genetic packages along with

some of the newest exciting genetics. They have thrown in a herd sire

prospect, exclusive semen and top embryo packages to have all varia-

tions of Full Fleckvieh genetics available.

Our guest consignors have stepped up again with an equally sound set

of females, semen packages and embryos. Most of the open heifers that

I selected had been scheduled to go into the heart of these consignors

replacement programs so you are getting a chance to acquire their best.
