Three brand new kite models, over 50 prototypes, hundreds of hours on the water testing in a variety of conditions: all to bring the most rev-olutionary and reliable kites to market.

While designing the NRG we realized that we were onto something special in the efficiency and power of the kite. This lead head designer, Julien Fillion, on a quest to design the ultimate light wind LEI kite.

The NRG “LIGHT BREEZE”, offered in 14m and 16m, feature a flatter profile and higher aspect ratio giving the kite more projected area and lift. Eliminating the center strut creates less drag and allows the kite to fly orientated forward in the wind window creating efficiency in the turning speed and upwind projection.

CprControl bArFor 2012, we are very excited to offer a newly redesigned bar configuration. Highlights include a fully integrated, one piece molded EVA float and bar end winders. This combination creates a seamless one-piece design that is simple and offers better flotation for bar recovery. The bar itself has been reduced in over all diameter and features ergonomic finger contours to increase the bar feedback and reduce hand fatigue. Add in tubing wrapped leader lines to help prevent near bar tangles during falls and you now have the simplest, the safest, and the highest standard in control systems for any kite on the market.

Liquid Force CPR (Center Push Release) is a patent approved system (U.S. Patent 6,988,694) that allows an instant and effortless safety release of the kite, with either the left or the right hand or from the front or back of the bar. Once engaged, the bar will release from the chicken loop to either the 100% de-power flag line or 90% de-power main line leash options.

100% De-power Flag lineThe LF CPR Control System has a 100% De-power flag line,leash attachment option. When attaching the leash to the flag line and releasing the bar via CPR (or simply letting go), the kite will completely de-power and fall to the water. This will leave the kite connected to only one front line, and allow the rider to work their way back to the bar, reset the CPR if engaged, and either re-launch the kite or wrap it up for another session.

90% De-power option To utilize the 90% de-power leash attachment setting, attach your leash to the end of the mainline. This set-up will allow the rider to safely and repeatedly de-power and disable their kite while still enabling the rider to re-launch and ride again very quickly. The kite remains flying on two front lines and will drift to either corner of the wind window, readying itself for re-launch.

BELOW THE BAR DE-POWER CLEAT The power adjustment mainline runs through a 3D-Molded cleat, molded directly into the CPR Chicken Loop. This cleat allows effortless adjustment of the mainline and an extreme amount of de-power, always within reach below the bar and molded cleanly right into the chicken loop surface.

Center line push release The LF CPR Release is designed for ultimate safety and sim-plicity, allowing a rider to release the kite with either hand, from the front or back of the bar, always the same on either side, and at any time! (U.S. Patent 6,988,694)

The LF vacuum bag sandwich construction provides a kite surfboard that gives a ride and feel just like your favorite surfboard from your quiver but will withstand the harsh riding with a kite.

We set out this year to give a little back while giving unsurpassed performance. Where we started is with the core of the LF CJ kite surfboard. The B-XP3 core utilizes fully recycled materials and is com-pletely recyclable. The manufacturing process emits 50 times fewer VOC’s than traditional PU foam cores. An added advantage of the B-XP3 core is that it is completely waterproof. This means that if you get a ding the core will not absorb water! Using this core in the LF sandwich construction gives the board superior strength to weight ration and provides a great ride.

Quad fin, squash tail. We are excited to offer this board designed by Fletcher Chouinard of FCD designs. He has poured his years of surfboard shaping knowledge and his passion for kiteboarding into making a board that is pure magic. This is a board that handles powered kitesurfing with ease. Lower entry rocker, deep concave off the tail, and smooth foil allow this board to be ultra versatile in all conditions.

Thruster fin set-up, mini moon tail. Slightly wider in the mid section and tail, pulled in nose, low entry rocker give this board great riding characteristics in all conditions. This board has a TRUE thruster fin set up that gives the board strong drive and projection off bottom turns and pivot in the wave pocket.

Quad fin, Swallowtail. The 6.0 is the largest board in the line, offering the most volume and float. The outline is a hybrid pulled-in version of a modern fish shape. This board will handle any conditions that you can handle! Slightly lower and pulled back rocker entry allows this board to point upwind with ease, while enabling plenty of release off hard top and bottom turns.

Quad Fin, diamond tail. This board is a collaborative design effort between Corran Addison and Liq-uid Force designer / athlete Julien Filion. The result being a high performance board that minimized the negative impact on the environment. The use of a fully recycled BxP3 core decreases the en-viornmentally damaging materials in the building process of the surfboard. A slightly higher rocker that is orientated back of the mid section makes this board very pivotal in the turn while retaining the upwind performance. It provides a very loose feeling under the feet yet generates speed and control on demand.
