COMMUNICATION DESCRIPTION:The Collins SAT-2100 Satellite Communication System allows simultaneous multi-channel access through the Inmarsat satellite system. One (1) channel (maintenance channel) is dedicated to Aircraft Earth Station data transmissions. The remaining Aero H+ channels are available for voice and data transmission from the cockpit or cabin. Voice capability and High Speed Data offer speeds up to 432 kbps data transfer rate provided by the Dual Swift Broadband channels with CNX Data Acceleration option. The Inmarsat service provides communication over non-polar regions of earth.

The Iridium Telephone System from ICG provides seamless global access to high quality voice communication through the Iridium Satellite constellation.

The aircraft is outfitted with the Aerocom 3000 telecom system with three (3) corded handsets in the cabin, one (1) in the cockpit and three (3) wireless handsets. The default system is the Iridium System. If that is unavailable, the CTU routes the call through Satcom.
