MissionThe mission of the Get In Touch Foundation is to provide breast health initiatives that educate gals and guys of all ages how to

“get in touch” with their bodies, information, and each other in our crusade against breast cancer.

ObjectiveThe Get In Touch Girls’ Program & Daisy Wheel breast health initiative

educates girls in grades 5-12 on the importance of, and how to do a breast self exam - for life.

My dear friends,The idea for The Get In Touch Foundation was born when my own breast cancer diagnosis in 2004 prompted me to teach my own daughters, who were then turning 12 and 13 years old, how to do a breast self exam. The realization that this important information should be in the hands of all of our daughters – not just the ones who call me “mom” – led to the development of our cornerstone mission, The Get In Touch Girls’ Program and Daisy Wheel.

When we launched our FREE Get In Touch Girls’ Program in September 2009, schools in 23 states signed up in the first 24 hours. Today, our Girls’ Program has been implemented in all 50 states, Washington, DC, and in 21 countries. Our FREE Daisy Wheel app, available on the iTunes Store, has been downloaded in 76 countries since its launch in June 2011.

The automatic renewal for our GIT Girls’ Program means that we are on track to reach ONE MILLION girls by 2015.

Supported by private donations, “GIT Your Pink On!” Days and our popular “Pretty In Pink” events, we have continued to maintain and expand our outreach by hiring an Operations Coordinator, a Grants & Development Coordinator, and a “GIT Your Pink On!” Day Coordinator.

Our Youth Ambassador Program kicked off in 2012 with 12 high school age girls from 6 different states and Luxembourg joining us to introduce our program to their communities, in addition to fundraising efforts to support Get In Touch. Each donation makes a difference in the life of a girl, providing her with important information and education she needs to become a healthy, smart, strong woman.

When you educate a girl, you educate the world.

Hope Lives!
