SERVICE FACTOR

NONINSTRUCTIONAL NONBARGAINING PERSONNEL

To be eligible to receive the Service Factor, an NNB employee must have earned at least one year’s credit of Pasco continuous service at the step just prior to arriving at the top step of his/her salary schedule. The Service Factor is determined by multiplying nine hundredths ($0.09) times the number of years of Pasco District employment times the number of hours worked daily times the length of individual NNB employee’s work year to equal an amount. This amount is spread equally over the NNB employee’s pay dates. An NNB employee completing 20 years or more of employment with the District School Board of Pasco County will receive an additional fifty-five cents ($0.55) per hour. An NNB employee with 16 years or more of employment with the District School Board of Pasco County and has completed one year at the top step of his/her salary schedule will receive an additional twenty-five cents ($0.25) per hour. Effective with the 2008-2009 school year, NNB employees who were entitled to Service Factor and Longevity payments based upon experience and salary schedule placement will be entitled to a year of service credit but will not be entitled to the incremental increase in Service factor compensation for that year of service credit. Since the 2008-2009 school year no NNB employee will become eligible for Service Factor or Longevity payments.

CDAs issued and credits received through the District School Board of Pasco County’s Adult Education Program do not qualify for this supplement.

Pasco FNS Assistant Manager hired, as a FNS Manager after 7/1/96 can start no higher than eleven (11) years of service. FNS Production Assistant hired as a FNS Manager after 7/1/04 without previous related experience outside the district can start no higher than five (5) years of service. FNS Assistant hired as a FNS Manager after 7/1/04 without previous related experience outside the district can start no higher than one (1) year of service. FNS Assistant Manager, FNS Production Assistant and FNS Assistant hired as a FNS Manager after 7/1/05 that is receiving the service factor, start three years of service above the maximum noted. FNS Production Assistant hired as a FNS Assistant Manager after 7/1/04 can start no higher than fourteen (14) years of service. Supplemental Pay Each FNS Manager participating in a breakfast program will receive a breakfast supplement of $0.24 per hour. Each FNS Manager with average daily meal equivalents exceeding 400 will receive a participation supplement of $0.42 per hour for each increment of 100 meal equivalents adjusted each period. Meal equivalents are defined as a lunch, plus a la carte, adult and miscellaneous sales, snacks and breakfast meals divided by the approved FNS conversion rates. All amounts are rounded to the closest 100. Lakeview Express Manager will receive an additional supplement of $0.35 per hour. A FNS Assistant Manager will receive one-third (1/3) of the FNS Manager supplement, a FNS Assistant Manager designated as Lead Assistant Manager will receive one-half (1/2) of the FNS Manager's supplement. FNS Assistant Manager assigned to elementary schools are not eligible for the supplement after July 1, 2008. FNS Managers approved to provide on-site training for FNS management interns will be paid an internship supplement of $0.75 per hour per intern for the duration that the intern is under the manager's supervision. The first 32 semester or 48 quarter hours from an accredited college will be paid as a college supplement of $2.31 per hour and will not be considered in the calculation of the education supplemental pay plan. FNS Area Specialist will be paid a supplement of $6.00 per hour.
