Purpose:• To promote young adult success and

learning• To introduce youths to the university

environmentBenefits:

• Provides valuable work experience for New Mexican youths (and may be their first work experience)

• Provides the opportunity to gain work experience in a flexible environment

• Provides the opportunity to work for one of the largest employers in New Mexico

Externally-funded programs• Program works with outside organizations

to promote diverse hiring of young adults

• Participants are paid by the outside organizations

Internally-funded program• Youths are requested by departments

through UNMJobs• Participants in this program are paid by the

hiring department
