Page 32011 Official Mardi Gras Section

This year, the Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 89th annual Mardi Gras Celebration. This event draws over 25,000 people from all over our region to our small town for a time of fun and entertainment. The event begins with the crowning of the Mardi Gras Queen on October 15th. October 28th features a childrens costume parade and a business trick or treat. October 29th will bring a craft fair/flea market, car show, entertainment, a huge 50/50 drawing and concludes with Illinois oldest nighttime parade. Last year's 50/50 raffle received $10,540! On behalf of the Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce, I would like to personally thank all our sponsors. The collective support of the Chamber makes this event not only a great attraction to our community but a staple of what people look forward to. We sincerely appreciate the time put forth by our volunteers and the gracious donations by our sponsors. Without your support Mardi Gras would not be as successful as it is today!
