St. Nicholas Orthodox Church 41st Macedonian Ball
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, It is again my distinct pleasure to greet you all on the occasion of our annual Macedonian Ball. This Ball is a testimony to the hard work and dedication the founders of our parish community. Without them we would not have a spiritual home today. We thank the Lord for their devotion and diligence. We enjoy the fellowship and the sense of family that was so important to those who came before us. We celebrate the legacy they have handed down to us, that we now embrace and preserve, and that we in turn pass on to others. I hope that you all have a wonderful time tonight. Remember, you are among brothers and sisters of a beautiful spiritual family, brought together here on earth and untied by ties that come down from heaven. Let us also bear in mind that the joy we share tonight is but a preview of a fuller, eternal joy -- the joy of God's Kingdom -- promised to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. If we "seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, (Mt. 6:33)" all else will fall into place. Blessings, Father Andrew Jarmus +otetz

My Dear Friends: Thank you for attending the 41st Annual Macedonian Ball and supporting St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church. I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all who have placed an ad in this program book and to those who have contributed to the silent auction. Your gracious support of this joyful celebration is instrumental to the success of the Ball. This year’s Ball is very special because we are celebrating several milestones in the life of our parish. In addition to commemorating our 41st Macedonian Ball, we are also celebrating 63 years of Christian leadership and service to our community. Since 1948, we have been celebrating the Macedonian heritage of our founding fathers while embracing the benefits that are propagated through cultural diversity within the Church. Additionally, this is the 20th anniversary of Macedonian Independence. St. Nicholas has been blessed to have Father Andrew Jarmus (Otetz) as our spiritual leader with his compassionate understanding and his many years of priestly experience in the Orthodox faith. To those who have never attended one of our Sunday Liturgy serves, we invite you to do so. I have found Father Andrew’s sermons to be the best of the best. A Father Andrew sermon can be a life changing event. As the good book says, “Come See”. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following persons. It is through their efforts that this great celebration of life, “The 41st Macedonian Ball”, has come to fruition. Firstly, I would like to thank the Ball Committee: Dave & Millie Phillips, Shirley & Mike Panchev, Bill Skimos, Jim Skimos, Suzanne Dunn, Argie Bellio, & Julie Replogle, all of whom dedicated themselves by working countless hours in the planning and coordination of this joyous event. I would like to thank Kim Kerscher our office manager whose help was indispensable. Thanks to the members of our Parish Council for their leadership and dedication to the church. Thanks to Father Andrew & Protodeacon Michael Myers who provide the guiding light of spiritual leadership to our parishioners. Thank you to all who have contributed their time and talent to the success of the ball, including the Women’s Guild, Donors of time & money, Our Ad Sponsors, Our Honored Guests, including the Visiting Clergy and their Popadias, Popadia Kristi, Mayor Tom Henry & his bride Cindy, The Bill Skimos Band, The Mali Makedonci Dance Group, and the professional staff at Ceruti’s Catering. Thank you to all who have contributed their time and talent to the success of The 41st Macedonian Ball. Welcome one and all! Best Wishes, Dan Replogle, Chairman The 41st Annual Macedonian Ball St. Nicholas Orthodox Church

For the happiness in our families today. For the beauty around us. For
the friendships we've made. For the laughter and the difficult times that we have endured and that have helped us grow. For the food on our tables, and for the blessings we have received, let us join
together in the early tradition of our country and give thanks for past and present blessings
of this land.
The Spoa's
I was delighted when my husband and I decided to remake his mother's old mink stole. We had so much fun the day we went to Pappas Furs for the restyling. Tina and the designer had many clever ideas. We chose to use the fur as a collar and cuffs on a custom-made cashmere coat. Although the coat bears little resemblance to the original, it still brings back memories of Mom while keeping me both warm and in style. Susan W.
