    Conference OverviewConference OverviewConference OverviewConference Overview

Globalization, the inevitable phenomenon, has had far reaching consequences in almost

every aspect of our lives, and a potentially greater one in the future. Developing

countries stand to lose or gain depending on how they manage the diverse dynamics that

affect economic growth and marshal resources to their advantage. Experience shows

that only a few Developing Countries have managed to take advantage of the

opportunities offered by globalization, with a majority still being mired up in economic

doldrums due to a variety of factors, chief among them is the lack of proper

understanding of the factors at play and management incapacity. This applies to

management at the national, sectoral and individual levels.

This conference therefore provides a forum for academicians and practitioners from all

corners of the globe to critically address these issues with the aim of coming up with

suggestions that will lead to solutions that can help to improve the lot of Developing

Countries. The main theme of the conference is: Promoting Trade Competitiveness inPromoting Trade Competitiveness inPromoting Trade Competitiveness inPromoting Trade Competitiveness in
