Zürich, Switzerland

...we made a stop in Zurich. It was sunday

afternoon and we headed straight for the Maison

de l'Homme by Le Corbusier. One of his finestbuilding ever. In this image, the pavillion reflects

about himself on the little pond. Le Corbusier is

nice because 99% of the things he did, every time

you go see them they are always super fantastic.

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena

Curiosity

Few things excite me more than space stuff. This

latest NASA rover called "Curiosity" is the ultimate

toy. Wikipedia opens its entry saying: "The Mars

Science Laboratory (MSL) is a National Aeronautics

and Space Administration (NASA) mission with the

aim to land and operate a rover named Curiosity

on the surface of Mars. Currently in transit to

Mars, it was launched November 26, 2011, at 10:02

EST and is scheduled to land on Mars at Gale

Crater on August 6, 2012". A rover designed by

Boeing and Lockheed Martin to explore Mars. A

fantastic dune buggy for space travels. More

images about the rover and its making-of at: http:

Milan

After an endless amount of time (thanx to Michele

Aquila), the book I wrote with Walter Aprile is

finally there to be bought. First e-pub, to go

through it, I had to learn a lot. Ready for next.

成田国際空港  Narita International Airport

Smoking Room

The thing I like the most when flying on a long

haul trip is the first cigarette after some 8, 9

hours of forced abstinence. To arrive and to get to

a smokey room where you find some dissolute

colleagues and you are (finally) able to smoke your

puff. Not to mention that I generally like very

much the unknown gents and ladies I meet in

these awkward places. Like this Japanese

gentleman met in Narita when I arrived...

Tokyo Midtown 21_21 Design Sight

The first thing we saw in our Tokyo explorations, it

has been this exhibition on Irving Penn taking

photographs of Issey Miyake clothes. I have toadmit I didn't know that behind the most famous

images related to Miyake there was mr Penn. I

knew Penn as a super-important photographer,

already fiddling with Duchamp and Martha Graham

in the 1930's, but I didn't know about theseincredible works he did in the last 20, 30 years.

Very exciting indeed. More about it at: http:

Ota-ku, Japan

This trip to Tokyo, thanks to Alessandro Scandurra,

it was architecture from morning to evening,

straight, bang bang bang without rest. Greatfeeling, I didn't go through such a thing since ages.

Wake up, breakfast, write down the list and hit

town. Get into first place, then next, and then

next. Not a break, nothing but architecture.

Lovely. Here the images when we went to seeMoriyama House by Ryue Nishizawa and Sejima.

Also nice because after a long time I was taking

photographs. A silly iPhone as a camera, anyway a

lot of work... More images of this house at: http:
