• BOLA Architects have completed their work and are finalizing their report

• All the murals have been catalogued

• The four main artists have been interviewed 

• Representatives from the State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) and the Washington Trust              for Historic Preservation have visited the site

• Several methods of removal have been tested in further detail

• Potential hazardous materials abatement procedures have been reviewed and refined

• The Capital Projects Office has better defined the costs and time impact associated with preserving the murals

Recommendations

• All the murals in the building to be saved (24 total)

• The murals should be saved using wall removal method

• Display the four main murals in the roof monitors of the new building

• Display the medium and smaller size murals in common areas of the new building

• The meeting rooms would be available for new student art 

• Delete reproduction of the murals in glass panels along Brooklyn Avenue from the project
