Digital Signage and Signal ManagementAMX Inspired Signage solutions offer powerful, quick and cost-

effective ways to distribute information to students, faculty, and

visitors on displays located throughout a campus. Pre-packaged

templates make it easy to select customized messages, which can

either be centrally or remotely edited and scheduled and then

distributed across the campus using AMX’s UTP or Fiber solutions

to switch and route all of the signals. Displays and other related

equipment can be controlled by the AMX system as well.

Video Content Management Vision2 solutions provide broadcast or video on demand capabilities

as well as the ability to capture, store and manage content captured

in the classroom or learning center. Great applications include

simulcasting live lectures to classrooms or campuses, centrally storing

and playing archived videos on demand, broadcast of TV or satellite

channels, or creating a campus channel that broadcasts content to

displays throughout the campus. Distribution is via an IP network, so

AMX Device Discovery is a technology integrated into manufacturers’ products to make programming easy and operation with an AMX control system effortless. By embedding this AMX exclusively designed technology into their products, industry-leading manufacturers are improving the way AV installations are programmed, managed and operated.

How does it work?When integrating a serial or IP device that supports Device Discovery,the AMX Controller (which is always at the heart of the control system) recognizes the device, loads the appropriate communications module and the new third party device is automatically installed. The AMX Controller can fi nd and install the device module either from a library on the Controller, or from AMX’s Web site. Device Discovery also allows for device swapping so that programming changes are not required when devices are removed or replaced.

Switch audio and video together or separately from any of your 4 local sources or 2 remote Cat5 sources. Select either or both microphone inputs to be immediately mixed into the audio output.

Take advantage of the video and audio menus with standard up, down, left, right navigation buttons to traverse the intuitive

menu system. Live-Adjust settings (up and down to scroll menu items, left and right to adjust settings) take effect

immediately, so you can see and hear setting changes as you make them. There’s even a tools menu that shows key system

Or, use the DGX Transmitters and Receivers in conjunction with the Epica DGX 32 and Epica DGX 144 for campus wide or facility wide signal distribution. In addition, DGX Technology provides a common signal transport layer that transcodes between analog and digital signals; this allows the DGX DVI and HD-15 TX/RX pairs to be used interchangeably.

The new DGX line is specifi cally designed for use with a single strand of multimode fi ber, and if you are new to fi ber it’s the most common, easily terminated and installed cable solution. Now you too can send true, pure, uncompressed DVI, RGHV, audio and control 3,000 feet and beyond in any environment.

DGX Fiber Receivers (both HD-15 and DVI) feature SmartScale™ technology which automatically responds to the display’s declared EDID information and scales video resolution and adjusts video parameters for that display.
