S-WORKS SHIV. THE LEAST DRAG AND BEST TORSIONAL STIFFNESS OF ANY TT BIKE WE’VE EVER MEASURED. First deployed under the developmental name “Project Black TTR”, the S-Works Shiv was originally designed for Fabian Cancellara and Team Saxo Bank, to be the ultimate optimization of aerodynamics, stiffness, and weight. By combining the stiffness of the Tarmac SL2 with the aerodynamics of the Transition and fully integrating all components, we succeeded in making a bike with the least drag and best torsional stiffness of any TT bike we’ve ever measured. Within one short season, the Shiv collected wins at the Tour de France and UCI TT World Championships (among others). Now with Team Astana and select Specialized triathletes also on the Shiv, there’s much more in store for this next generation TT bike.

PRO CARBON CRANKSET

PRO CARBON CRANKSET2-POSITION SEATPOSTThe incredibly stiff Transition FACT 7r carbon frame (E5 aluminum model also available) and fork have a number of features that make it the fastest bike on the road, including extremely N’aero airfoil tubing, internal cable routing, a one-inch diameter steerer tube and skinny seatstays that minimize frontal area and a unique frame/fork interface honed to reduce turbulence.

Because it was designed to work exclusively with the Transition frame, the two-position Transition seatpost enhances aerodynamics through its foil “wing” shape and clean interface with the frame. Over 100mm of fore/aft adjustment ensures that every rider (from TT to triathlete) is positioned for maximum speed, pedaling efficiency and stability. Proprietary FACT carbon construction keeps the Transition seatpost lightweight.

The Transition features an integrated front and rear brake system that’s designed in concert with the FACT carbon chassis to ensure maximum aerodynamics and control: The center-pull front brake stays in-line with the skinny frame to minimize aerodynamic drag, and the placement of the rear brake under the bottom bracket keeps it tucked up and away from the wind.

(Not pictured) Exclusively found on our highest-end bikes, the fast-shifting FACT carbon crank (S-Works and Pro models only) surpasses all other road cranks on the market for stiffness-to-weight, giving sprinters everywhere the pedaling efficiency they need to convert every watt into pure speed and shave seconds off their time.

AERODYNAMIC FRAME INTEGRATED BRAKE SYSTEMDeveloped in the wind tunnel with feedback from the world’s fastest time trialists and triathletes (like Chris “Macca” McCormack, whose bike is pictured above), the Transition has a track record for winning championships and out-performing bikes like the Cervelo P3 in drag vs. wind angle tests. Its custom wind-skirting design, advanced carbon construction and proprietary components deliver every aerodynamic advantage possible.
