Size. Main advantage of this line is the low size of each part No., whereby the best ratio between pitch of terminal block and maximum current allowed by the standard specifi cations related to its rated section is reached. Application. Most suitable for maintenance or replacement jobs where a rise of rated section of the terminal blocks is required, but at no increase in panel room and that irrespective of the type of conductor used whether with or without cable end terminals.IP20 Degree of protection. Fully protected terminal blocks, inclusive of the funnel shaped cable entry area when using cables of rated section and also of the two immediately lower sizes.Insulating material. Manufactured in self-extinguishing V0 polyamide as per UL94, it withstands a 960ºC hot wire.Shape. They match the BC4S disconnect as well as the whole BC Series terminal blocks and save accessories when assemblying terminal strips. The BBF 32/35 end stopper also has the same shape and acts likewise as stopper and end plate. Marking. Provision is made for cheap PTP strip computer marking by means of “Strip Label” software to be used with laser or standard printers. Also for plotter printed hard break off tags.Options. Standard grey colour, Neutral blue colour. Other colours available upon request.Certifi cates. VDE Mark licence as per EN 60947-7-1 standard available.Connecting capacity and rated cross section: Maximal value of connecting capacity and rated cross-section may be equivalent terms as per EN 60947-7-1. A value of connecting capacity higher than rated cross section is referred to dielectric and mechanical limits only. Test current stablished by EN 60947-7-1 is the limiting current for the terminal block when working under this standard. On RU Series maximal value of connecting capacity and rated cross section both have the same value, except RU4.

Value. RX25 has been specifi cally designed for use at the outgoing terminal block connection side of meter panel units, both all-on-one-panel or single-meter type. RX25 is particularly valued both by electrical Utilities and meter panel builders, who praise its ergonomy and technical assets as well as the cost reductions obtained.One only screw. Reduced contact resistance because of one only tightening point, minimum assembly time, no risk of loosening when carrying panel about or having it set on place.Application. RX25 enables inserting, at outgoing connections, up to 25 mm² fl exible cable fi tted with terminal end and without using special tools. That is made possible by its “squaring the circle” built in cable terminal shaper recess at its top side.IP20 Degree of protection. Fully protected terminal blocks, inclusive of the funnel shaped cable entry area when using cables from 6 up to 25 mm².Insulating material. Manufactured in self-extinguishing V0 polyamide as per UL94, it withstands a 960ºC hot wire.Shape. They match the BC4S disconnect as well as the whole BC Series terminal blocks and save accessories when assemblying terminal strips. The BBF 32/35 end stopper also has the same shape and acts likewise as stopper and end plate. In maintenance jobs it can be easily replaced by the identically shaped standard RU25 terminal block. Square shaping Insertion and tightening

Cable stripping can be made with a Unibloc PCM 10-16 hand stripper or any other stripper allowing for a maximum stripping length of 19,5 mm.Setting terminal end must be carried out with special Unibloc tooling to be used on a hand or pneumatic tool.Cable ends are supplied with product and are suitable for use with Unibloc checked cables as quoted on the assembly instructions.Inserting a cable fi tted with terminal end is made highly easy and safe. Substantial savings obtained in assembly time. No loosening or tightening mistakes because no screws used.Now product is ready for standard fi eld outgoing connection.

Outgoing connection is same as at any other standard terminal blocks for cable sections from 6 up to 25 mm².When 25mm² cable with terminal end is required, RX25 fi ts a square shaped recess at the top front side, called “SQUARING THE CIRCLE” because round terminal ends for 25 mm² can therein be square shaped, this allowing for their easy insertion at the holding area of the clamping unit.Connection of 25 mm² cables fi tted with terminal end is then made easier by previously shaping such end without the need of a prior setting. The grip obtained properly tightens cable to terminal end and all that dramatically smoothens fi eld connecting jobs.

Standard line of Unibloc feed through terminal blocks manufactured in self-extinguishing UL94 - V0 polyamide.All cable sections from 0,5 mm² up to 25/35 mm² in two size confi gurations only.Fitting both EN 60715 TH35 and G32 Din rails.One only End plate-Stopper unit for the whole line saves materials and makes handling easier.IP20 Degree of protection. Reached in all sizes at the three intake points, i.e. clamp screws, top jumper bars and funnel shaped cable entries, these latter both using cables of rated section and also of the two immediately lower sizes.When top jumpers are used, they should be covered with an upper protection. If necessary, the suitable end accessories, i.e. side/intermediate plates, etc. should be used so as to keep to IP20 degree of protection.Connecting capacity and rated cross section: Maximal value of connecting capacity and rated cross-section may be equivalent terms as per EN 60947-7-1. A value of connecting capacity higher than rated cross section is referred to dielectric and mechanical limits only. Test current stablished by EN 60947-7-1 is the limiting current for the terminal block when working under this standard. On BC Series maximal value of connecting capacity is higer than rated cross section value.Marking: Both marking tags or marking strips, printed by plotter are available.

Two-colour. Green-yellow colour insulation for identifying earth connections.PEN function. In compliance with EN 60947-7-2, only terminal blocks with a rated cross section of 10 mm² or higher can perform the PEN function, that is using the mounting rail as a protector and neutral conductors. Steel rails are legally forbidden to be used at PEN function.Limit values of rail. As per stipulations of Table A.1 of EN 60947-7-2 standard, the limit current value associated to a standard TH 35-7,5 steel rail is 76 A for the heating test and 1920 A for the short term withstood current test. Consequence thereof is that terminal blocks with a rated cross-section higher than 16 mm² can only be used in compliance with connecting values referred to 16 mm² rated cross-section terminal blocks if used with such steel fi xing rail. Each rail has a different limit value depending on the material it is made of. *Insulation. The Rated insulation voltage of earthing terminal blocks must be regarded as against terminal blocks of same size and/or same confi guration within the Series.Shape. BCT part Nos. match the whole BC and RU Series terminal blocks as well as the BCS and BCF units. They fi t both TH 35-7,5 and G32 rails.Connecting capacity and rated cross section: Maximal value of connecting capacity and rated cross-section may be equivalent terms as per EN 60947-7-1. A value of connecting capacity higher than rated cross section is referred to dielectric and mechanical limits only. Test current stablished by EN 60947-7-1 is the limiting current for the terminal block when working under this standard. On BC Series maximal value of connecting capacity is higer than rated cross section value.

Table A.1 of harmonized EN 60947-7-2 standard covering earthing terminal blocks stipulates the rated current limits related to the rail types that must and can be used to obtain safe connections.

Two kinds of functions are determined:

PE function for protection connections only, No heat test carried out.

PEN function for earthing and neutral connections simultaneously. Heat test carried out.

Steel rails are not allowed for PEN function, only copper or aluminium rails can be used.

PEN function is only allowed for terminal blocks of 10 mm2 or higher rated section.

The following directions should be followed for a correct installation of the jumper units:

Comb pins must be introduced up to the end. Check that they remain fully inserted in the groove of the terminal block wall. This operation is to be carried out without tension.Connection is to be made by tightening the screws of each clamping unit. All jumper poles must be correctly tightened.In order to obtain the required number of poles, two jumper combs can be overlapped in one clamping unit.Each jumpered set of terminal blocks should be fi tted with an end plate or bracket at both ends, so as to ensure attaining the rated insulation.Maximum jumper current 5 A.Jumpers do not reduce the rated connecting range.The IP20 degree of protection is kept when inserting cables of the minimum range as quoted on table 2 of the EN 60947-7-1 standard.

Certifi cate: The fuse terminal block BC5F is bearing the VDE Mark licence as its full compliance with EN 60947-7-3 standard.Application. BC5F is suitable for 5x20 mm. fuses. The fuse holder unit can be easily hand opened, it can also be fully pulled out for easier fuse replacement.Degree of protection. Versatility. The particular design of these double deck terminal blocks enables easy access for tightening cables at lower deck without interference from the upper deck connections.Shape. MV Series single body design incorporates both double deck and disconnect options arranged in several circuit layouts. A cut in overall room requirement of up to 40 % can be reached, moreover all accessories are suitable for the whole line.Fixing on rail. Bottom of MV terminal blocks fi ts all types of DIN/EN rails.Markings. It takes Unibloc SKMD marking tags for plotter printing.Options. Standard types in grey colour, also blue colour for neutral identifying. For other colour options please ask. BNS heavy duty terminal blocks allow an optimum connection of cables fi tted with lug terminals from 70 up to 240 mm².Copper conductor bars have the same section as the rated cross section of the terminal block itself, which ensures circulation of the current without undue heating. Bolts are screwed in direct at the fi ne threaded conductor bar, an effi cient torque tightening and a correct connection being thereby ensured.Aluminium cables can also be connected when suitable terminals are used.Full insulation is guaranteed only when end plates used between each block.Connecting capacity and rated cross section: Maximal value of connecting capacity and rated cross-section may be equivalent terms as per EN 60947-7-1. A value of connecting capacity higher than rated cross section is referred to dielectric and mechanical limits only. Test current stablished by EN 60947-7-1 is the limiting current for the terminal block when working under this standard. On BNS Series maximal value of connecting capacity and rated cross section both have the same value.

Green/yellow coloured insulation to identify earthing connection.In accordance with EN 60947-7-2 Standardm terminal blocks up to 6 mm2 rated cross section can only be used for PE function, that is they cannot be used for PEN function where the mounting rail performs the dual job of protection and neutral conductor. EN 60947.7.2 harmonized standard covering earthing terminal blocks stipulates, on its Table A.1, the limiting rated current values related to the rail types that must and can be used in order to obtain safe connections.

Two kinds of functions are determined :

- PE Function for protection connections solely. No heating test to be carried out.

- PEN Function for earth and neutral connections at the same time. Heating test carried out. PEN Function does not allow for use of steel rail. Only copper or aluminium rails to be used.PEN Function authorized only when using terminal blocks of a 10 mm2 or higher rated cross section.

APPLICATIONS

This Test Block unit is suitable for testing kWh-meter equipment at both Grid and Industrial + Commercial metering points.It is fi tted between measuring equipment and transformers. It allows for opening and closing any circuits, also enabling to carry out ammeter and voltmeter measuring, to provide auxiliary energy feeding for calibration and to replace and/or connect auxiliary equipment.It ensures that checking jobs are carried out without cutting the energy supply and grants full safety for the operators, in conformity with European Directives and with regulations governing prevention of risks at work.To be fi tted in all places and under all conditions, even when sealing of the kWh-meter test block is mandatory and protection against tampering required.

ADVANTAGESSAFETY. The Test Block unit is fully protected against fi nger contact. It has been designed to take standard Ø 4 mm. insulated probes or plugs which are indispensable for checking under safety. All hand held parts fi tted with suitable insulation while performing checking procedures.

OPERATION. Simplicity = Safety. The modular construction and the disconnect systems make it possible to set up safe, easy and intuitive operational procedures. Condition is permanently visualized. Partition plates prevent from wrong jumpering. Marking, optionally coloured sockets if required, both make operation easier.

CONSTRUCTIONAL. Conductor parts are oversized so as to reduce losses. No contact pressure exerted through insulating materials. Screw fastening is safest and most dependable in the long run, where the device is to be very often operated.

INSTALLATION. Design of the enveloping cover and of the fastening system both allow for the need of a minimum space. Aesthetics in the design of the Test Block unit have been highly taken into consideration so as to match state-of-the art equipment fi tted in today’s meter panels.

The 4 voltage elements enable direct connection to three phase + neutral mains or to voltage transformers.

Possibility of arranging different confi gurations, i.e. 3 current elements per each phase, or 4 current elements jumperable using four pole jumper plugs to obtain a star connection.
