Coaching Career: Returns for his 10th season as the hitting coach for the Toledo MudHens and his 15th season overall in coaching...spent five seasons in the Anaheim Angelsorganization before coming to Toledo in 2001...started his coaching career with the LakeElsinore Storm of the California League in 1996, spent two seasons with the VancouverCanadiens in the Pacific Coast League and was with the Edmonton Trappers for twoseasons.

Playing Career: Selected by St. Louis in the first round (15th overall) in the 1976draft...was traded on December 9, 1980 to the Chicago Cubs, along with third basemanKen Reitz and third baseman Tye Waller for relief pitcher Bruce Sutter...set career-highsin average (.312), hits (168), doubles (33), and stolen bases (28) during the 1982season...Durham was named to the National League All-Star team in 1982 and1983...participated in the 1984 NLCS versus the San Diego Padres...on April 12, 1987,Durham became just the fifth player in history to homer into the right-field upper deck atPhiladelphia’s Veteran Stadium...the home run was off of Steve Bedrosian...on May 19,1988, Durham was traded, along with cash, from the Cubs to the Cincinnati Reds forpitcher Pat Perry...spent 10 seasons in the major leagues, hitting .277 with 147 home runsand 530 RBI in 1067 games...Durham had 20 or more home runs on five occasions anddrove in 90 or more runs twice.
