“Various Editions of the 1611 A.V.”

Chillax ka lang. may solusyon yan :D

Page 6: 2010 06 20 7 may alam ako sa bible!

• If someone decides to produce a “new Bible version,” then they must also convince Christians that there is a NEED and JUSTIFIABLE cause for the new version. And just because the 1611 A.V. had been revised several times since 1611, they make that as an excuse.

Page 7: 2010 06 20 7 may alam ako sa bible!

•FACT: The many revisions that have occurred since 1881 bear NO RESEMBLANCE to the various editions of the KJV prior to 1881.

• FACT: There were actually FOUR actual editions after 1611:• 1629• 1638• 1762• 1769

Page 8: 2010 06 20 7 may alam ako sa bible!

ALAM KO kung bakit, sir!

•1629 EDITION

• This edition was simply an effort to correct printing errors, and two of the original KJ translators assisted in the work.

ALAM KO din kung bakit, sir!

•1638 EDITION• Also dealt with printing errors,

especially words and clauses overlooked by the printers. About 72% of the textual corrections in the KJV where done in 1638, only 27 years after its first printing.

ALAM namin kung bakit, sir!

•1762 & 1769 EDITION

• Two final editions that involved spelling changes since it was the same time when English language was stabilized and spelling rules were established.

Oo na alam niyo na!

Think aBout this• Please bear in mind that printing

was a laborious task prior to 1800. Publishing a flawless work was almost impossible. Even today with technology, we still get errors. Imagine what was it like in the 1600’s!

Page 12: 2010 06 20 7 may alam ako sa bible!

Think aBout this• Remember that there were NO NEW

TRANSLATIONS and REVISIONS in these 4 reprints. They are simply EDITIONS of the 1611 KJV, which corrected printing errors and spelling, a touch-up work of the printers. Those who try to equate these changes with the current versions are either deceitful or stupid-or both :P

Think aBout this• The REAL revisions and translations

does not start appearing until 1881 (RV) and 1901 (ASV).
