• Time Frame for summer work– Last day of school for teachers was Thursday, June 24,
2009. Work began immediately after that.– The 42 work days between June 30 and August 27
described the time frame for all the moving and work.

Old flooring was abateddown to a wood subfloor.

Ceiling tiles were removed. A new ceiling with new lights and new acoustical panels were installed.

The DPW completed work on a redesigned Hardy Road with increased parent drop off and pick up area.

An area of old ceiling previously abated as a result of water damage
The old ceiling was removed in preparation for the installation of fire protection (sprinkler system), new lights and a new suspended ceiling.
New smoke and acoustical stops were installed above the new suspended ceiling in walls separating classrooms.

Two student bathrooms on the cafeteria level were renovated and are now ADA compliant.

In the process of replacing the gym ceiling the gym floor was damaged.
The floor was sanded, lines repainted and new coats of sealant applied.
Excavation and extensive new piping was required to add the new sprinkler system.
Fiske’s old boilers removed and ready for disposal.
