CHOICE: “The determination of the mind… to voluntarily decide to act one way over another; an alternative”.
We make the choice everyday to lead our life in a certain way.
EDUCATIONAL SESSION DESCRIPTIONSThe Possibilities of Partnerships and The Magic of Marketing:The following speakers were originally scheduled to speak at the (now cancelled due to budget reasons) NRPA Revenue and Marketing School, and as luck would have it they have chosen to still contribute to the profession by joining us! DON’T MISS IT!
Jenny Wolff will explain concepts, strategies and critical principals to gain corporate partnerships for public agencies. Not to be missed! Get in on the opportunity to see the power of partnerships and be “wowed” and how your agency can benefi t from forming friendships with private entities.
Dr. Serge Dedina will share ways public agencies can save money while maintaining quality public services by using effective partnerships formed with non-profi t organizations. Networking and relationship building is the name of the game in these tough economic times, let Dr. Dedina show you the positive aspects of joining forces with other non-profi ts!
Frank Carson, City of Chula Vista, will teach new concepts of viral and guerilla marketing tactics using web 2.0 technology. SOUNDS INTENSE! It is and if you are confused and don’t know what this is, this is for you! He will also cover the cutting edge word of mouth marketing. Get in on this session to get new constituents through your doors!
Craddock Stropes, City of Carlsbad, did you know that the CPRS State website has changed and is better than ever for communication and sharing of knowledge, networking and advertising of information. We will run through all the components so when you leave you feel very comfortable with using the site to benefi t your agency.
Maurice Luque, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, will help attendees to understand how to communicate to the media during a crisis situation. Whether you are a director or a part time recreation programs employee, knowing what to say, how to say it can make all the difference. The media may not have time to fi nd the PIO… make time to send your staff to this training so that when faced with a camera and notepad in their face, they “say it right”.
