Q: It seems like every holiday season someone loses their home to anelectrical fire. What can we do to decorate safely for the holidays?

A: There are many precautions you can take to keep your holiday safe.Make sure all lights and extension cords used outside are certified for

outdoor use and plugged into an outlet with a ground faultcircuit interrupter (GFCI). Check your lights for looseconnections and frayed wires and replace those that areworn out.
