The following information is provided in compliance with Executive Directive 1991-6. FOREWORD This Directory contains the names, mailing addresses, telephone numbers, and web sites of Michigan's institutions of higher education. The information is presented in four sections. Institutions are listed alphabetically within each section.

Section 1 - Public Four-Year Institutions Section 2 - Public Two-Year Institutions Section 3 - Independent Colleges and Universities Section 4 - Tribally Controlled Community Colleges

To be eligible for listing in Sections 1, 2 and 3 of this Directory, an institution must meet the following four requirements. 1. It shall be incorporated under Act 327 of the Public Acts of 1931, as amended, or organized and

operating in accordance with Act 142 of the Public Acts of 1964, as amended, or publicly operated.

2. It shall offer programs leading to a degree, or offer two or more years of a college-level program for transfer to a degree-granting institution of higher learning listed in the Directory.

3. It shall be in operation and enrolling students for classes for the academic year in which the Directory is published.

4. It shall not be licensed under Act 148 of the Public Acts of 1943, as amended. Those institutions will be listed with the Proprietary Schools Unit of the Office of Postsecondary Services, Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth and not found in this Directory.

To be eligible for listing in Section 4 of this Directory, an institution must meet the following four requirements. 1. It shall meet the definition of a tribally controlled community college as defined by the

Tribally Controlled Community College Assistance Act of 1978, Public Law 95-471. 2. It shall offer programs leading to a degree, or offer two or more years of a college-level

program for transfer to a degree-granting institution of higher learning listed in the Directory.

3. It shall be in operation and enrolling students for classes for the academic year in which the Directory is published.

4. It shall not be licensed under Act 148 of the Public Acts of 1943, as amended. Those institutions will be listed with the Proprietary Schools Unit of the Office of Postsecondary Services, Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth and not found in this Directory.
