On Saturday evening, the 'Evangelical Mission of the Loir and Perche' organized a Gospel concert at the 'Salle Panoramique' in Châteaudun. Almost 150 people gathered in the hall, including 50 Canadians brought in by an association. Andre Fillion, the mission's director, explained that "this concert was particular in being part of an event called 'In search of meaning and truth'.This mission, which numbers 6 members, organized the concert in partnership with the evangelical church in Chartres, of which it is a member, and France-Mission, a group of churches with a vision for planting new churches all over France. The 20 choristers who sang on Saturday, directed by Pascale Benmann, came from all over France, but also from abroad. 'In search of meaning and truth' started in the third week of July and aims to 'organize Gospel and classical concerts in various places around the county of Eure-et-Loir', according to Andre Fillion. The choristers worked for the first week of the campaign to prepare their program. During the second week, they sang in Chartres, where 2 exhibitions had also been organized at the town hall, including one on the Bible which is due to be presented in Châteaudun from September 27th.

During the evening, the choir sang a variety of pieces, including 'Can You Believe' by Alvin Miranda, The Name of the Lord' by Clinton Utterbach, and 'God So Loved the World' by Ken Medema, all with great enthusiasm and joy. All the pieces were accompanied on the piano by Nadine di Fiore. A bookstall was held at the entrance, at which books were available on a variety of issues, for example 9/11events. The concert was closed by refreshments made available by the mission.
